One of the BEST decisions I ever made was first, getting my dog - and second, getting Healthy Paws!

If you are going back and forth on whether or not you should/should not sign up for Healthy Paws insurance, I will be the first to say I was just like you. I used to be one of those “Why spend money on pet insurance, how much can they honestly get sick?”, and then I came to realize that it was one of the best decisions I have made (aside from adopting my pup of course!). Healthy Paws has LITERALLY saved my puppy’s life. My puppy at only 8 months old (healthy as can be, might I add) – decided to pick something off the ground on a walk, and swallowed this foreign object. He was not able to pass it so he had to get emergency surgery. Few days later post-op, he became septic from the first surgery, and needed to get another surgery, including a feeding tube + tons of antibiotics. The options I was given were to A: Get the surgery, or B: euthanasia… how could I possibly do this with a healthy 8 month old pup!? Fast forward to today, and my puppy has healed up and Healthy Paws has LITERALLY saved my puppy’s life – without having the insurance, I would not be able to pay for such expensive surgeries. What we paid overall out of pocket was the cost of JUST the first surgery, meaning that Healthy Paws has saved us over $15K – and we spent under $5K. Overall, the price per month for Health Paws is SO minimal, I am sure that most spend more on Starbucks/Takeout than they would on the monthly cost of the insurance. Another thought as well – would you go without insurance for a human? I highly doubt that – and to me, this is the same for my dog. My claims were processed almost every time within 24 – 72 hours, with a check in hand almost immediately following. The customer support team as well throughout the past 3 weeks of everything they have even sent personal emails checking in on him! I only wish my doctor was as kind as them :) Again, if you are hesitating on signing up for Healthy Paws, please PLEASE take a deeper look at their minimal costs per month, extremely low deductible once you submit your first claim, and the comfort of knowing that if for some reason anything did go wrong with your pet, you are reimbursed anywhere from 70-90% of that cost, depending on the plan you choose! Healthy Paws is something I will invest in for not only this dog, but any other animal I ever adopt in the future.

So happy I have this pet insurance

I purchased pet insurance for our 3 dogs when we adopted a full size rescue greyhound as I was sure she would break a leg because she loved to run. Fortunately, we have not needed the coverage for the greyhound but we have used it for our other two babies. have had a great experience with the service. Each time we submit a claim, we receive an immediate reply and the claim is processed within 3 days. The plan we chose was a higher reimbursement at 90% and well worth it. I always share this information with my friends that have pets as I am highly satisfied with the service at Healthy Paws.

Peace of mind

We've had pet insurance through healthy paws for about a year and a half now. Unfortunately our dane has had quite a few eye issues (scrolled cartilage, cherry eye, entropion, and several ulcers), requiring 3 different surgeries. Each time, the claims process was super quick and easy and Healthy Paws approved the claim in a timely manner. They give us peace of mind that we can do what's in Lola's best interest without having to worry about the cost. Definitely recommend!

WARNING Do not use this insurance it is…

WARNING Do not use this insurance it is a scam! They will drag you through the mud for months and their customer service reps will soften you up by assuring your claim is being handled, it won’t be handled and won’t be covered! What an awful experience, go with Figo or Embrace instead.
