Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

In February my 3 year old cat was diagnosed with kidney failure. He had been losing weight and was low energy. We took him to the vet and the blood results came back as Chronic kidney disease. They suggested that we hospitalize him immediately. We were told that it would be at least $500. a day. I called Healthy Paws after admitting him and explained our situation. They immediately began explaining what I needed to do and set our minds at ease that we could afford to give him the care that he needed. I was missing some paperwork from our rescue agency. Diana got on the phone to the agency and the vet associated with the agency ,to get what we needed to start the claims process. I was taken aback by the initiative and helpfulness of everyone with whom I had contact They were all amazing. I never felt like I was dealing with an insurance company. I was paid quickly and accurately for all of his medical care and supplies which came to over 5K dollars. Bentley will be on medication and will need vet visits frequently for the foreseeable future. Thanks to Healthy Paws I can give Bentley all the care that he needs without fear of big vet bills.

Healthy Paws coverage has allowed us to get our kitty the help he has needed., which has amounted to almost 12 thousand dollars. Without it, we would have had to say goodbye to him. That is just not acceptable to us. We are so glad we got the coerage as they were kittens. The policy is clear and easy to understand. Claims are processed very rapidly. Highly recommended.

The hospital had quoted us around 500 dollars per day. We were concerned about whether we would end up with a huge bill, but the agent at Healthy Paws with whom I spoke indicated that the insurance would cover 80% of hospitalization, medications, blood tests and a sonogram. We were relieved. His vet and hospital bills were in excess of 5 thousand dollars. He was in hospital for nine days. Healthy Paws paid for everything but the vet physicals as their coverage states. He will require ongoing meds and tests for the foreseeable future, but I am not worried about how to give him the best care possible with the Healthy Paws insurance. They are truly working for you and your pet. The customer service was more than accommodating and really wanted to help us. I was missing some needed information from the vet and rescue agency. Diana took it upon herself to find it for us. She called the rescue and the vet associated with the rescue agency. She went above and beyond to help us get his claims started. I never felt as if I was talking to an insurance company. They were always there to help. Their customer service is the best. All of them were great, but a special thanks to Diana and Jennifer who helped me through this worrisome time.

I sent in a review almost a year ago, when my dog was diagnosed with a nasal tumor. I was and still am very very happy with the company and the coverage.. There have been a lot of costs and radiation therapy, and Evie is doing very very well. I am very grateful to Healthy Paws. And, as I wrote above, the claim procedures are fast and easy .

My curious, chew and eat all 6 months old Labradoodle had a serious food poisoning event, she was in bad shape, constant vomiting, dehydrated, etc. we had to take her to urgent animal care, x-rays, ultrasound, lab work to check liver levels, etc. and she had to stay over night at the hospital for monitoring and to keep her hydrated and with medication through an IV. The bill was over $2,000 and Healthy Paws was great! We just uploaded the bill through the app and within days the claim was processed and approved without hurdles or back and forts. I also had a follow up email on how my dogs was going. We've been with Health Paws for a few years with 2 dogs (both Labradoodles) and we could not be happier with their service.
