Simple, fast and helpful.

Simple, fast and helpful service. Clear policies and human beings at the other end of the line! Started my dog as a puppy and the coverage looked after her treatment when she got cancer. Great experience.

More than just an insurer, made me drop a tear

I've been using Healthy Paws since my pup was less than a year old. Now she is 6 years and it has given my not only the comfort of knowing I can give my dog the care she needs, but also the security that my insurer won't unnecessarily question the invoices I submit. The reason I write this today is that my dog is getting older and I found some Mast Cell Tumors on her. This happens quick, one turned to three and many procedures had to take place to confirm the MCT. Not only did Healthy Paws honor the invoices, but they followed up a few days later with a personalized email to follow up on my dogs progress. My reply to that email was as follows: Wow! This made me drop a tear. Thank you so much for following up. It means a lot! This whole event caught us by surprised. THANK YOU not only for staying with us through this time but more importantly for giving me the feeling that we are more than just another client. I’m picking up Duoduo today, she had a total of 3 tumors removed, and biopsy of a mass of her leg. The surgery went well. Now it’s her recovery period. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

We have 2 rescue pit bull and enrolled…

We have 2 rescue pit bull and enrolled both in Healthy Paws as soon as they were eligible since both between eight and twelve weeks when we got them. In the almost four years we have had them, there has been a series of health issues, one broke his back, the other has chronic urinary and kidney issues. The cost of care for both would have bankrupted us if not for Healthy Paws. They have never once questioned a procedure, some of which have been costly. We always have receive reimbursement promptly and there is always a follow up inquiring on the Heath of our babies. I would unequivocally recommend them to anyone seeking health insurance.

Better than my own health insurance!

I was definitely one of those people who thought pet insurance might not be necessary at first. But with three very curious kittens, the odds were stacked pretty high against me – so I decided to do some research and get my kittens insurance just in case. Healthy Paws seemed to offer the best bang for my buck, so I enrolled my kitties with them, sent in their initial medical records to activate their plans, and kinda forgot about it. Cut to a few days ago, when, lo and behold, one of my kittens somehow tore the felt ribbon off his Cat Dancer Rainbow Cat Charmer and ingested a good chunk of it. We rushed him to an emergency pet hospital where they did an ultrasound and confirmed that he would need to have surgery. Unfortunately they didn't have a surgeon and he needed to be transferred to a different hospital. In total, the cost of both emergency visits was right around the $6-7k mark. Immediately after our kitty's discharge from the hospital following surgery, I filed claims for both hospital bills. But within three days, both claims were processed and my direct deposits was paid out!! This has been a thoroughly stressful experience for all of us, but Healthy Paws has helped to alleviate some of that stress. What's more, they reached out after our claims were processed and asked about our cat's health. Really stellar customer service, and I'm so glad we signed up with them. I'll be recommending them to all my pet owner friends!
