My dog, Brad, just recently had to undergo an emergency surgery. It was a very stressful time for him and myself. As we all know, emergency departments for pets can be very expensive. The whole process of his surgery and recovery was made easier with the reassurance I would be reimbursed for his visit and surgery! The company even reached out to check and make sure Brad was doing okay after his operation. I was reimbursed within a week of his surgery. I have had my pets (1 dog & 3 cats) insured with Healthy Paws since 2013, and we have not made any claims. My premium has increased each year, which is to be expected. I work in the insurance industry, so I understand. However, this year my PREMIUM INCREASED 80%. It went from $175 to $316 per month. That's $141 increase! OUTRAGEOUS!! I’m pretty sure this would be illegal for any other type of insurance. So, if you want coverage for your pet even when they're older, LOOK ELSEWHERE...

We got Healthy Paws ahead of our new addition, and it was hands down the best decision we made. Puppies will be..puppies, and in her 4 months with us, we’ve had 1) 4 bouts of chronic diarrhea requiring custom antibiotics 2) conjunctivitis and 3) pneumonia (with an ER visit!) all of which we get reimbursed the majority of by Healthy Paws. The claims submission is easy, painless (especially as most vets will send formats that are easily uploaded), and they are always responsive if we have any questions or concerns. I wish all insurance could be like this!
