If you're not sure whether it's worth getting pet insurance: it IS. While most insurance options I explored don't cover general preventative and routine vet visits, when my fur-baby Barkley suddenly wasn't eating for days and having severe GI issues, I did not worry about the cost of having to take him to the hospital. After extensive tests and a couple of nights in the hospital, he has bounced back. And so did my wallet - the claims process is really easy - all online, and I received my benefits direct-deposited in less than 2 weeks.
