Will never go without Healthy Paws! A+ coverage

We have carried Healthy Paws pet insurance since we adopted our dog. He has had numerous claims and all have been paid with no issues. Their customer service is top notch and turn around time on reimbursement is very quick. We have even received phone calls and emails inquiring about how Milo is recovering from surgeries and/or illness. Highly recommend!!!!

Peace of mind

I highly recommend healthy paws to other pet owners as it removes the pressure of not knowing if you will be able to afford the medical care for your pup. Ziti recently ingested hazardous material and was able to get everything removed within one hour of the ingestion occurring and had absolutely no complications whatsoever as she was able to get the vet fast and it was never a question of it I could afford her care. Healthy paws is great!

They are a scam

They are a scam! Every year they raise my premiums, but 50% increase is ridiculous! 150.00 a month!!!!!! And I’ve been with them since 2013.

Fast and caring service

I adopted a 2 year old rescue (of unknown history, but overall a very healthy dog) and at first wasn't sure if insurance was worth it - as most insurance doesn't cover general preventative vet visits. But suddenly my dog got very ill, and I had no worries about the financial implications of taking him to the hospital. The claims process was simple (upload a photo of the bill online) and within 2 weeks, I received not only an explanation of what was covered vs not (most was covered) but also received the benefit payment as well.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
