My little chihuahua

My little chihuahua, Millie, has had two very expensive health incidents in the last couple of years and HealthyPaws not only processed my claims within a day or two of submission, but also sent a follow-up note to ask about Millie's welfare. Healthy Paws = Great Outcome

My old-lady dog recently had to spend 4 days at the veterinary ER hospital. This wasn't the first time Healthy Paws has earned my 5-star rating, but it's the time when I was most worried about my girl. It was a huge relief to tell the vets to do everything she needed to get better. Having Healthy Paws in my corner meant she could get the best care, not only the care I could afford on my own. She's home and recovering now, and Healthy Paws helped make that happen.

Thank You, Healthy Paws, for Making Sure My Girl Got the Best Care

I've had Healthy Paws insurance from back when hardly any pet insurance existed and they've never failed me. My old-lady dog recently spent 4 days in the veterinary ER hospital. I was worried for her, but I never once had to worry about affording the best possible care for her, and that meant so much for both of us. Now she's home and recovering, and I couldn't be more thankful that I had Healthy Paws in our corner.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
