Not sure it's worth it

Had an emergency vet visit on Friday night that cost $448. It was a bit of a shock to find out I would be reimbursed only $30 when I am paying $25/month for pet insurance! The break down makes sense. I think it's important to know they do not cover vet exams, even emergency ones, and your the deductible is applied to the reimbursement level, so in my case my reimbursement level was 80%, so I paid 20% and was only reimbursed 80% - $250 (my deductible), which came to $30. I guess now that I've met my deductible i'll keep it but again, not sure it's worth it.

Best Around!

Healthy Paws is the best pet insurance around. Our dog has required several leg/knee surgeries and Healthy Paws has made them all possible. The customer service is amazing and they are prompt with payments. And submitting claims couldn't be easier. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I wish they insured humans

I love HealthyPaws Pet Insurance! They respond quickly to any questions or requests and process claims in a matter of days, resulting in a nice check just a few days after our vet visit. I only wish that they provided Human Insurance because I'd sign up with them immediately.

Healthy Paws Is Amazing!

We have been a client of Healthy Paws for several years now and couldn't be happier with their service. One of our dogs has required several leg surgeries and Healthy Paws has helped us out tremendously. They are really prompt with excellent customer service and great prices. They are the best pet insurance around.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
