Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Healthy Paws is quite literally is life saving! Very easy to submit claims and helpful customer service!

This is the worst company I have dealing with. After years of paying the monthly premiums they declined my $400 legitimate claim stating I didn't show proof it wasn't a pre-existing condition. They asked me to supply records going back 10 years! Plus they say I ran out of time. My vet supplied records going back 4 years but that wasn't enough. These people are criminals. They say all the right things but do nothing.

It pains me a bit to give Healthy Paws anything less than "10 paws" but the annual premium increases are becoming nothing but absurd. When I signed up in December 2017, my monthly payment was somewhere around $48 per month... fast forward only 4 years later and it's now going to be around $102 per month! They recently sent out an email essentially blaming it on one of their insurance underwriters, Westchester Fire Insurance Company, which sounds like an issue Healthy Paws needs to figure out... not mine. Beyond the cost, their customer service has been nothing but top notch. They're easy to work with and process claims incredibly quick. Their customer service team has always checked in on my pup to see how he's doing after a vet visit. If they can figure out their costs and stop the dramatic premium increases each year, they'd easily be "10 paws".
