What a total rip off! My dog’s health insurance jumped from $189/mo to $479/mo because a new insurance company took over. Something about how the California government won’t let them cap monthly premiums. So ridiculous. The reason you can’t find my account is because I cancelled it yesterday after 10 years with you all. You all are the absolute worst.

Our cat Pepper broke his leg in December and needed surgery. It was a heartbroken time for us. There were so many things to worry about from finding a hospital that could schedule surgery quickly to concerning if he could get fully recovered from the injury. But fortunately, we don't have to worry too much about the financial burden because we purchased health insurance when we brought Pepper to our family. The first reimbursement took a few rounds of communication because of the requirements of medical records. But the reimbursement arrived swiftly after there is no issue with documents. The reimbursement for later medical costs was simple and easy. Now we could see our little angel could happily jump and climb just as before. I am very satisfied with their efficient and responsive service.

Our greyhound, Jack, had two medical emergencies in 2021. First, over the summer, he was suddenly and inexplicably paralyzed, and needed tests, hospitalization and medication. I worried that the claims process would be a hassle but it was incredibly easy using the mobile app. Healthy Paws then managed follow-up w/the specialists and vet. They processed very quickly, also responded quickly when I had questions. Recently, Jack had another emergency and needed tests, hospitalization and surgery. Again, Healthy Paws quickly processed my claim. I should note that our new coverage year had turned over by this time and our premium did go up a bit, as expected. In their cover email and explanation of benefits for this recent claim, they clearly explained that we were in a new coverage year, therefore the deductible applies. Very easy to understand--no surprises. On top of this great service, they also checked in on Jack and sent hugs :) I can tell that this is a company that appreciates pets and us pet parents who worry about them. I don’t agonize over care decisions in the moment and I don’t worry that claims will be a headache. I recommend Healthy Paws to anyone with a pet!

I am so thankful for HealthyPaws Insurance. My poor Moose has been plagued with health problems in a very short period of time. Diabetes, cataracts, an enlarged heart. Every claim submission has been reviewed and addressed same date. Check arrives for reimbursement usually within a couple of days. I have not had anything denied or questioned.
