Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Healthy paws covered 90 percent of everything pre and post operations, all her medicine as well as taking care of all our claims in a timely matter without any issues or asking for further information. Chloe's procedures cost over 15K and Health Paws didn't hesitate in processing her claims. Our dog Chloe started with mild cataracts at age 4 1/2 and this turned quickly into severe glaucoma by age 5 1/2. She ended up with numerous procedures, one was to remove the eye that she was blind in as well as suffering in pain from the severe eye pressure, she had to undergo multiple procedures to save her remaining eye with numerous Emergency visits to drain her eye to relive the pressure and inevitably had a shunt placed in her eye but this also didn't work and she ultimately had to have her other eye removed. Chloe is doing great she still has her spirit plays and navigates the house like she can still see and is no longer in pain. Healthy paws is awsome and I'm glad I originally made the right choice.

When we welcomed home our dog, Charlie, just under two years ago I already knew what pet insurance to sign up with, Healthy Paws! My sister had already had Healthy Paws for her dogs and told me about how easy and affordable it was. She had already filed a claim and was quickly reimbursed. I had the same experience. I was able to get 90 percent coverage and only a $100 deductible for a comprehensive plan that was very affordable. My dog Charlie had no health issues until a couple weeks ago when he suddenly started acting different and vomiting all day. I rushed him to the emergency Vet which is very costly. Healthy Paws paid me back within days of submitting my claim. The app is very easy to use! A week or so later, they reached out to me to check on my pup who luckily is all better! I can't tell you what peace of mind I had while I was with him at the vet knowing he'd be covered! It was heartbreaking over hearing others with no coverage trying to figure out what to do since they couldn't afford treatment.

Didn’t have to make a claim fortunately, but I don’t like the fact that fixed term life insurance is not really fixed. They keep raising premium every year even without making any claims

Tripled my premium. Informed me that medical records I submitted were insufficient and when the Vet told me more detailed records didn't exist in their system, HealthyPaws refused to assist in resolving the issue until I had a claim to file. So they wanted to take money from me every month, without helping resolve this issue, and then when it came time to file a claim, they would have a good reason to deny it. Overall, felt very dishonest and like a scam.
