How Healthy Paws helped me...

I wanted to write a review for Healthy Paws because I wanted to support them as they have supported me through a tough time with my 6-year-old husky. I want to help other people trying to make the decision of whether or not to incur the monthly cost of pet insurance and then ultimately which one to choose. My husky recently had a bad battle with pneumonia and needed to be hospitalized for two nights to receive IV antibiotics and fluids, needed multiple x-rays, a “wash”, culture sample, and has been on antibiotics for a while now – this can all get very expensive very quickly. If I didn’t have pet insurance, I don’t know how I would have gotten through it financially – having pet insurance allowed me to make the right decisions and luckily, we caught things early. He’s doing much better now and hopefully on the tail end of this. Healthy Paws has an easy-to-use app to upload the receipts quickly, have very fast reimbursements, customer service has been great and I am so thankful for them. I even got a personalized note asking how he was doing after his battle with pneumonia – it wasn’t a templated email – it was a personal note specific to what he had gone through. That is the type of company I want to be a customer of and appreciate.

Awesome Pet Insurance company - Health Paws

Have had dogs our entire lives, but after my wife spent months researching our next pet, an Australian Labradoodle (Finley) we felt getting insurance was a good idea. I looked at numerous websites and called about 3 I thought sounded good. Upon contacting 2 of them I felt their agents were reading from a script. When I contacted Healthy Paws I could tell the person really cared about our and Finley's needs. After reviewing many options and answering any of my questions I decided to go with Healthy Paws. Year one for Finley showed no issues so we never met our deductible (which we chose). 2 months ago Finley became extremely sick, wouldn't eat, shivering...ER and Vet visits with many tests, sonograms and treatment showed Finley with Addison's disease (extremely rare in young dogs) He will live a long and happy life but will need daily medication and once a month injection. I gathered up about a half dozen Vet statements, scanned them and submitted them on Healthy Paws easy to navigate website. To my shock I received a confirmation email of our claim in one day. In about 3 days I received the completed claim status and money that would be in our mail box in the next couple of days.- No questions, no hedging, just quick honest responses. We couldn't be happier with Healthy Paws (our Vet as astonished about their quick response and will share our story with clients). If you're looking for Pet Insurance I would highly recommend Healthy Paws

Healthy Paws insurance is professional, responsive, and exceeds my expectations of an insurance company

We've had dogs all of our life but never had insurance. My wife researched getting a new puppy a year and a half ago and due to the time and effort she put in decided to get Pet insurance. I contacted numerous companies and it always seemed the agent was reading from a script. When I called Healthy Paws I was talking to someone who genuinely cared about "Finley" and his well being. After a year, no major issues, and never reached our deductible (which we chose). This year Finley became violently sick in a short period of time. After ER and Vet visits he was diagnosed with Addison's disease which is extremely rare in young dogs. The Vet bills mounted quickly for treatments, sonogram, consultation....After collecting about 6 different bills I scanned them and submitted them through their easy to use Website. To my astonishment I received notice in 1 day that our claim had arrived. In 3 days our claim was funded and we soon received checks! I've never exprienced an insurance company respond so quickly - no questions, no hedging, just incredibly fast service. We couldn't be happier with Healthy Paws and would recommend them highly to any pet owner.

This co is a rip off

I have had this co for two yrs filed my first claim and have gotten nothing but the run around. They keep asking for more docs. Now they want documents before I had the dog. The claim is only 1,260 before my deductible. I went with this co without reading the bbb reviews. I just seen they rated good and went with them. Big mistak
