This company has gone downhill

I've had this insurance for over 4 years and in years prior had no issues with them. In the past year it's all gone downhill. When I submit a claim, they keep coming back saying I haven't provided enough documentation or they are suddenly missing my pets vet history, even though I've been using them for years. It wouldn't be possible for me to have filed prior claims without them having that. For the last few weeks I've been having another issue filing claims with them. They keep telling me documentation is blurry, however I'm sending them pdf downloads straight from chewy or screenshots from my pc. There is no way that it can be blurry. Ill send them a new one and suddenly they need more information because now something new and irrelevant is "missing" even though it's on one of the other invoices ive just provided them with. Its gotten so ridiculous. Its like no one looks at the notes or what documentation has already been provided. I keep having to call, someone tells me they have everything they need and then suddenly I get an email yet again saying they are missing information. What a scam. Worst part is you can't just swap to another pet insurance because now your pet has pre-existing conditions.

Disappointing Support During a Difficult Time

I had a very frustrating experience with Healthy Paws while trying to understand the claims process after the recent loss of my pet. During three separate phone calls, the representatives I spoke with were rushed, rude, and not very knowledgeable about the process. Given the circumstances, I was hoping for clearer guidance and a bit more patience. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get the information I needed until I requested to speak with a supervisor. Only then was the claims process properly explained. During an already difficult time, it would have made a big difference if the first representatives had been more informed and compassionate. I hope the company invests more in training their customer service staff so that pet owners going through challenging situations can receive clear, respectful, and supportive assistance.

When your dog starts getting old and she actually needs the health insurance they want you to get rid of your dog so they raise prices where you can’t afford it. Shame on you.

Healthypaws used to be fantastic but now as my dog gets older and sicker for the first four years. She never needed nothing but now as she’s getting older, she is using her and health insurance more which is normal for people and dogs that are aging instead of the pet insurance helping you they are raising me $100 a month for her health insurance what they’re trying to do is keep raising it. They raised it 50 bucks the other year now 100 just for you to get rid of it because now they’re not making money on you because they’re actually putting money out to the animals that need it. This should be not allowed. They should not be able to raise your health insurance for your doggy $100 a month shame on you.

Kane Dog was very ill and can be…

Kane Dog was very ill and can be reactive. Truecare took great care of him and with a strict diet he will be fine. Healthy Paws reimbursed us within just a few days for which we greatly appreciated. Kane Dog is back to his usually self, barking at French Bull dogs and chasing squirrels.
