We have carried Healthy Paws pet…

We have carried Healthy Paws pet insurance since we adopted our two dogs. Over the past 10 years they both have experienced some health issues and Healthy Paws has been amazing. One had to undergo surgery for double elbow dysplasia and our other was diagnosed with a sinus tumor. She underwent SRT and Healthy Paws has been great.

A total scam

A total scam! I got my dog from the start pet insurance with this people. Never miss a payment and never made a claim. Yet this people keep asking for more monthly payments. We when from $40, $80, $120 to $380 when he turn 11 years. They will keep asking for more money while your pet get older to push out and cancel. Save your money and find other options or just save your money and pay cash if you can.

I wish my health insurance was this easy and transparent. Healthy paws is the best pet insurance I’ve ever used. App makes it easy. Snap a picture of the invoice and the reimbursement is in your account in a couple of days.

I would not recommend this company at all. they suddenly cancelled my dogs insurance with no explanation.

Sociopathic company

When you submit a claim with Healthy Paws, they will waste your time as much as possible in hopes that you will give up on the claim so that they can deny it. Each representative tells you something different, ensuring that you have no idea what is going on or how claims are being processed. At best, this company is weaponizing its incompetence. At worst, they are sociopaths, using your pet's health to extract as much money from you without paying out claims. If you need pet health insurance, stay away from Healthy Paws.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
