Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Our cat Dimond went to the ER and has been hospitalized for four days due to acute inflammation of several organs and now is doing pretty well. His ALT is still high from his bloodwork recheck so he will be on a liver protectant for a while. This is our first time submitting claims on healthy paws and the whole process was super easy and quick. Thanks for protecting Dimond and I definitely will recommend healthy paws to friends who also have fur family members!

My dog had 2 ACL tears and needed double knee surgery (Bilateral TPLO). Our Vet recommended we go to a specialized surgery hospital given the severity of the disease, which would make the cost much higher, however, we were confident that we have a great insurance company who cares about their pet and parents to support us. We had to wait 3 months to get a consultation with the surgeon and another 2 months to have the surgery. Healthy Paws has been incredible partner on our journey, exactly as the policy states, we were reimbursed for everything with minimal effort from our end. Most invoices were reimbursed in 2-3 days (including all pain management medications while waiting to see the surgeon), while the big invoice of the surgery itself was reimbursed in 4-5 days. The website is very easy to submit claims to and if any documents are required, the healthy paws team was very quick to ask for them to process the claim in a timely manner. Knowing how pet parents are already overwhelmed with the surgery and all the information thrown at them, I was expecting for healthy paws to ask me for medical records and surgery records but once I provided the invoice and gave the hospital the insurance records, they worked it all out in the background. All I had to do is submit the invoice for $10K through the healthy paws’ website, and boom few days later, no questions asked, I was reimbursed 80% of it.
