ACL issues on one leg make the other pre-existing

Our dog who is under six had an ACL repaired in one leg. A year later she needed work on the other leg which has never had issues. Healthy Paws has this exception so they don't have to cover it buried in their FAQ where one leg that is fine is already considered pre-existing. When we submitted paperwork all they did was close the case with no note on what has happened. MSPCA Angel in Boston told us this is the most common injury with dogs yet there was no effort to cover this or try to make it work with our premiums. We are outraged for this kind of poor coverage.

Healthy Paws is Great

I have had Healthy Paws pet insurance since I brought my Corgi home as a puppy. I have had a wonderful experience with them. My Corgi has had several health issues (UTIs and bladder stones) and Healthy Paws was very easy to work with as my vet worked to diagnose and treat her health issues. My Corgi is doing much better now and I love have Healthy Paws has made getting medical for my Corgi easier. They are quick to process claims and my reimbursement check arrives in the mail usually about a week after approval.

I have been a customer for over six…

I have been a customer for over six years and did not have any problems with submitting claims. That is until this year when I had to submit a claim for surgery for my port to fix his ccl. All of a sudden the claim was denied and excuses were made saying documentation does not exist and were missing even though the vet had sent them multiple times. It has been over three months and I still have to resubmit the same documents. Unacceptable response from them.

Above and beyond! Highly recommend! 🙌

The folks and service at Healthy Paws go above and beyond to make sure your fur baby is well taken care of. From being very clear about what vet visits, prescribed meds, surgeries, to even alternative care options are covered to their team reaching out post surgery just to see how my dog is doing. I am so grateful to have found this company and couldn't recommend them enough.
