Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

My dog has a negative reaction from one of the medications during the day so we urgently went to ER vet twice a day. The first visit invoice was $1,400 and the second visit invoice was around $1,700 because my dog was hospitalized for 15 hours. The total cost was $3,100 and I submitted claims right away. (Claim submission is very easy, take 1 min!) After then, I reimbursed 70% of the invoice which was helpful. This year, my dog visited several times of vet and ER and luckily we got the 70% reimbursement after the annual deduction. I recommend pet insurance if your dog is 4 years older... I think better to register before moving to the senior stage.

Emergency hospitalization and surgery on a young otherwise healthy dog. Expensive, very and not an expected cost. Thank goodness we have Healthy Paws to help. Healthy Paws makes it easy to submit a claim. Once the claim is submitted they communicate with you regarding the status of the claim. They have always been fast in moving the claim through their system and issuing reimbursement. They are a quality company.

When you pet has a sudden emergency having good insurance helps ease the anxiety of the situation. My 4 yo Irish setter’s R lung collapsed suddenly. He was in critical care and had to have surgery. I have had Healthy Paws for four plus years and they have never disappointed me! My 4 year old dog recently required TPLO surgery and they provided direct pay to the surgeon, without this financial support and option, this surgery would not have been possible! They changed my dogs quality of life.
