Absolute nightmare

I have several pets with this company and experience nothing but headache, stress and frustration when trying to get claim processed. My vet provided written and computer printout of medical records that is required in order for first claim to be paid out. Everything he had I have submitted. Healthy paws came back and stated it is insufficient and they want sop notes. I have been back and forth with my vet and he stated that is how he writes his patients records, that is how he conduct his business and he has nothing else additional to give me. They refused to accept patients records from my vet in order to pay claim stating it is not detailed enough. I wish I stayed with my old insurance company. I would never recommend this company to pet owners.

10/10 for Healthy Paws Insurance

I signed up for Healthy Paws when my aussiedoodle was 8 weeks old. She is almost 2 years old and has had several visits to the vet because of her sensitive stomach. I have never had an issue with Healthy Paws not reimbursing for her visits. They do NOT reimburse for exam visits, spay or neuter, or yearly shots but, with my plan, I get 80% back of what they do cover. This last visit to the vet she had was an overnight visit and they even followed up in a sweet email asking how my pup was doing. It’s super easy to file a claim. I just get an itemized statement from her vet, scan it to my computer, upload to Healthy Paws “File a Claim”, and submit. Usually, I see a reimbursement within 72 hours. Sometimes less. My monthly plan is only $23 with a $100 deductible. SO much cheaper than having to come up with hundreds/thousands of dollars in case of an emergency. Wonderful insurance company! I highly recommend them!

Healthy Paws is the Best!

My canine best bud, Bandit, became suddenly and desperately GI-sick a couple weeks ago. I took him to the hospital and he had to stay in the ICU for two days. I’m pleased to say he’s recovering well. You can imagine how stressful and scary it was for both of us - and how expensive!! I am so grateful to Healthy Paws for supporting us during this experience. I called them while Bandit was in the hospital to go over my policy and begin preparing myself for the cost. The agent was compassionate and patient, expressing genuine concern for Bandit’s well being, and walked me through the information I needed. She also advised on documentation from the hospital that would speed processing of my insurance claim. I submitted all the paperwork on a Sunday afternoon and already had the claim settlement by Wednesday! I was amazed at how much money I received back, how quickly they processed the claim, and how kind they were throughout the process. They even emailed me afterward to check on how Bandit was feeling! I highly recommend Healthy Paws to anyone who is looking for insurance for their pet. It was 100% worth it for us, and the claim experience couldn’t have gone more smoothly! Thanks from both me and Bandit, Healthy Paws!!

First time having health insurance for…

First time having health insurance for a pet and so happy we did. Everyone I've talked to has been extremely caring for both myself and our new pup, Luther. At just 5 months, we took Luther to an emergency vet to check on a tummy issue which Healthy Paws helped pay for after a deductible. Soon after that claim was resolved, Luther was hit by a car and taken to the emergency vet again. Healthy Paws was able to help pay up to 80% of it as per our health insurance and also checked in on how Luther was doing after the claim had already gone through. Truly great customer service and we will be continuing using their health insurance. Thank you for thinking of Luther!
