Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

We’ve had Healthy Paws for both of our dogs for several years now and they have been so reliable in the service they provide. If you read what is covered vs not, you’ll never have a nasty surprise for why a portion of the bill isn’t covered. In our experience, they have ALWAYS covered what they claim to cover, super easy to file a claim, and their reimbursement is prompt (within 10 days). Could not ask for a smoother experience. We’ve had a couple major medical expenses for our dogs in the last two years (tumor removal, knee surgery) and having reliable pet insurance made it less financially stressful to get the care our pets needed.

Honestly, thank God for Healthy Paws. My cat went through a whole month of serious health scares- we thought we were gonna lose him! He spent almost two whole weeks in the hospital (which can be so expensive) and then needed a complex surgery done! Thankfully, Healthy Paws makes it very easy and user friendly to file claims and get in contact with a representative so that we didn’t have to worry even more during an extremely stressful time. They even offered a direct payment option for the surgery, which saved us from not being able to make rent during this time. Thankful for all that they do, and they really do care!

Our doodle had emergency surgery. We submitted the claim to Healthy Paws with the documentation including diagnosis and Xrays and lab tests. The Vet's office submitted the visit notes and details. Healthy Paws covered 90% of all expenses minus standard office visit and deductible, according to the plan outline, and we had a reimbursement check mailed to us within 5 days of submitting the claim. Then, we received a follow-up letter from Healthy Paws making an inquiry regarding our dog's recovery. There were no surprises. We are very grateful to Healthy Paws for honoring the commitment and for the speedy reimbursement. We made an excellent choice of insurance providers.
