Healthy Paws saved our cat. She was very sick and needed an extremely dangerous expensive surgery in order to save her life, as well as intensive care for about a week afterwards. With all of the worry going on, it was extremely comforting knowing we'd be reimbursed for most of the cost afterwards. We never had to deny any of the treatment on the basis of cost, and as a result our cat is still with us today. The process was simple -- we uploaded a PDF of the vet invoice and then a few days later had a deposit in our bank account. There was no back-and-forth, disputing of claims, etc. The only communication we received afterward was checking to see how our cat was doing, which was a nice gesture. Healthy Paws has been one of the more affordable options for us, and while it would be nice to have some extra things covered the current coverage is still incredible and painless to use.

Boudreaux, 3 1/2 years old, is our 5th golden retriever over the past 40 years. We never purchased pet insurance before this one. The reason, our previous golden developed osteosarcoma at age 8 and required hospitalization and an amputation - very expensive and heartbreaking. He died 6 months later - way too young. Turns out, despite being on Simparica, he had anaplasmosis, a tick-borne disease that caused his platelet count to drop precipitously to life-threatening levels. Because we had insurance, we didn't hesitate to take him in, and good thing we did when we did. He was accurately diagnosed and responded promptly to treatment. Again - Healthy Paws came through. We received a check in the mail just 5 days after the claim was submitted online. Not only that, but we received an email inquiring about his health. We couldn't be more pleased. We highly recommend not only having pet insurance for your beloved pet, but using Healthy Paws. Without insurance, we might have waited too long to take our boy in.

I am so glad we got Healthy Paws pet insurance for our rescue puppy, Jack. Within the first year we had him, Jack required surgery on his elbow for bone chips, (6 mos), and then at 1 yr we found out he had stones and crystals blocking his urinary tract, requiring surgery and lots of tests to determine the cause.
