Healthy Paws Insurance is FANTASTIC!

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance is a FANTASTIC pet health insurance company! I have the plan with a $250 yearly deductible that then covers 90% of the FULL vet bill including all medicines except the office visit fee. The customer service is fantastic and caring also. I know I sound like a commercial but I cannot be more pleased. I insure my three dogs with Healthy Paws and I always share how great it is with all my pet owning friends! Several friends have switched to Healthy Paws and they are ALL very happy with the company also. Right now my youngest dog has a persistent skin infection on her inner rear leg and has needed ongoing expensive treatment. Every claim has been promptly and caringly approved. And, they even follow up with an email asking how she is doing. I wish my regular health insurance was as fast. My oldest dog is 12 and never has had a claim. But, I really do not mind paying the premium for all my dogs since I know that they are protected by a great insurance company. If they are ever sick, I know I only need to focus on their care since I have Healthy Paws! Thank you for being such a great company! Human health insurance companies can learn a lot from you!

Awesome Coverage protecting my dog's health

Recently my very active 3 yr old Boxer had to undergo TPLO surgery for a torn ACL on her back right knee. She was hopping around on 3 legs and was having a hard time sitting and laying down. The surgery was costly but necessary for my young dog's mobility and comfort. Prior to surgery I called Healthy Paws fearing there would be some exclusions in the covereage, but instead talked to someone who was concerned about my dog, and reassuring that the surgery would be fully covered. After surgery I submitted the claim and in a week I had the full 80% reimbursement per my policy. When I saw an email from them I thought it would be for additional information but instead it was to find out how my dog was recovering. I've been impressed with Healthy Paws since signing up. I did my research prior and found a lot of other Pet Insurance companies offered complicated policies and were not as comprehensive in their coverage. I appreciate Healthy Paws's approach and am so happy I chose them. I never want cost to be a factor in caring for my dog's health and Healthy Paws is providing that peace of mind.

Amazing, affordable and hassle free!!

My dog, Daisy, is 10 months old. She was recently diagnosed with allergies, a leaky bladder and an ear infection. The ear infections and allergies have been ongoing, often accompanied with hot spots. Needless to say we've amassed some large vet bills. We are thrilled with our Healthy Paws coverage! Minimal paperwork involved to file a claim. Easy to file via fax or e-mail or USPS. Very quick turnaround. The customer service people are super friendly and helpful. They even checked to see how Daisy was doing after her last episode with the vet. One of the best decisions we made was to get health insurance for our pet. Healthy Paws has been fantastic.

Dolly's happy with her health insurance

On April 18, Dolly jumped off our bed, ran a short way and began to cry out in pain. She could not put weight on her right hind leg. I feared she had damaged her knee. Next day to doctor who diagnosed swelling in the knee area and advised reduced activity; i.e. keep her on leash at all times and move her bed as you move her from room to room. Restrictions 3-4 weeks. Outcome desired: To avoid surgery. We did this and Dolly is walking fine. This bill was $292.20 Back in December, we noticed one of her nostrils crusted over and we went to doctor. Treatment was ordered and we proceeded to comply. Weeks went by and the nostril improved, but never totally well. In April she had her teeth cleaned and while under anesthetic vet scoped her nose. Infection was present and a culture done to identify exact bacteria and proper antibiotic to use. She was placed on a regime of antibiotics for 14 days. She has responded but we are watching to see if it returns. This bill $548.75 The teeth cleaning was not covered by insurance. Claims were sent to Healthy Paws and promptly processed. The checks followed a few days later. Everything was paid as per the policy I purchased. I am so glad I bought insurance for her. It gives me peace of mind to know I can take care of her when the need arises. Rarely do I write reviews, but I did this one because I think Healthy Paws deserve to have folks know this is an honest company that treats the insured as their policy states.
