Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

When I found my wonderful pit bull, Petey, through a rescue organization, my commitment to caring for his every need included purchasing a pet health insurance policy that would protect both of us. I searched the internet and got personal recommendations and all signs pointed to Healthy Paws, and I'm very glad I made the choice. Submitting a claim is effortless, and Healthy Paw's responsiveness is remarkable. Petey recently went through surgery to repair a torn cruciate ligament. I submitted the claim on the morning following his return home from the vet and Healthy Paws reviewed and approved it, and emailed me that afternoon. No issues, no challenges. On a few occasions, I've called them to ask questions and have always been greeted by pleasant knowledgeable people who provided me with frank honest answers and expressed their concern for my boy. I wish my own health insurance provider was as easy and pleasant to negotiate. They conduct their business with a personal touch, and that's a nice way to experience a health insurance company.

Healthy Paws has been fantastic with us. My boy had cancer, went through surgery and radiation. Our beagle puppy, Bella, got into something she shouldn't have eaten, and became very sick on a Sunday. We rushed her to the emergency vet hospital and got the news that she needed surgery. The high end estimate was $5,700 and the low end was $3,400. We put down our credit card and said please, just help her! My husband said he hoped our Healthy Paws insurance would help with the bill, and it definitely did! One of the best moves we ever made! We recouped a large part of the surgery bill. Submitting the invoice was easy (we used the iPhone app) and we had reimbursement in under two weeks! Plus, we received a very nice email from a rep of the company, who was checking on our dog and expressing real concern. It was so sweet. It is a wonderful touch. We are relieved that we purchased this insurance and have been recommending it to other pet owners that we know!
