Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I only can say good things about them. My little boy got a nasty cancer that we tried to fight for months. It involved a big time surgery (almost $5.000) and then a good number of chemo sessions, visits to the hospital, etc, etc. He got better but unfortunately, the f.... cancer came back and took him. During this entire process, Healthy Paws was just AMAZING. By this I mean, they did their part of the deal...which is a lot more than you can say about any other insurance. They paid their % of the bills no questions asked, no matter how big the claims were...and believe me...some of them were damn big. Not only that, but when the damn cancer took my boy away, i did not have to bother cancelling my policy (they did it...including reimbursement of the last payment...just amazing). I also got a postcard from them hand written from the stuff showing their condolences...that touched my heart. Anyway...if you need insurance for your loved pet...GET IT WITH HEALTHY PAWS. Me and my boy could not have fought the cancer like we did without their support...unfortunately we lost this battle...but hopefully some other people can say their story with a happy ending. Healthy Paws has been a wonderful health insurance provider for our two lab mix rescues. We have had a couple emergency incidents and Healthy Paws was very attentive and responsive to our claims. It is a huge relief to know that we can rely on Healthy Paws, and that our dogs will have access to the best medical treatment possible. Highly recommended!

My family and I was so happy to have Healthy Paw Insurance for Sam. It was a huge relief for all us as, that our dog was covered. Sam accidentally ate a foreign object, which is cause him to have a surgery. The cost came out to be about $6000.00. Most of the bills was cover by Healthy Paws. Best Insurance ever. I will highly recommend this to any friends and family. The service was amazing, they follow up to check up on Sam and how he was doing.

Healthy Paws has surpassed our expectations! We were hesitant to pay for pet insurance but finally decided, after hearing stories from others, that we should do it. We are now so thankful we did. Our dog had a partial tear in his knee that required surgery as he stopped putting weight on it and was hoping on three legs. Healthy Paws has supported us, both financially and personally, in having all the necessary appointments and procedures up to the day of surgery. Obviously the financial aspect is fabulous but even more so is that a few days out of his surgery, Healthy Paws followed up to check on how our dog was doing. That really amazed me and made me feel like they were truly there and invested in our dog baby. The process to submit a claim is easy and they have quick turn around timelines for processing, completing, and mailing the check for the claim. I would highly recommend Healthy Paws - they have been fabulous through a really unfortunate event.

Healthy Paws saved me from a major financial set back. The coverage they provide allows me to continue affording medical care for my baby. A little over two weeks ago, I got home from work one evening, and found my baby, Luka, a one year old Briard, extremely lethargic and barely breathing. I rushed him to Blue Pearl Emergency, where they worked on him immediately and were able to stabilize him. The following morning, I was notified that Luka needed to go into emergency surgery. Surgery never entered my mind and I completely lost it. I was overwhelmed with fear for my baby; stressed out beyond words about whether he will survive not to mention equally stressed out about the cost of this unexpected surgery, and how many days he will be in the hospital following surgery. Luka survived the surgery and was in the hospital for several days. The cost was several thousand dollars. Still unsure what Healthy Paws would cover, I continued to stress about my finances. End result! Healthy Paws came through with flying colors!!!! They covered EVERYTHING!!! When I received my EOB and saw that they covered everything, I literally broke down in tears. I was ecstatic beyond words and very thankful. They also processed my claim in less than 7 days. The monthly premiums I pay are extremely reasonable and well worth it. Luka still needs medical attention and I am very comforted in knowing that Healthy Paws is there for me and to make sure I can continue to afford getting the medical tests and treatment Luka needs. Without Healthy Paws, I would not be able to financially continue getting Luka tested to try and identify the underlying cause of his condition (which we are currently going through), as such, his life would end at such a young age.
