Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

My baby Lucy needed surgery after being attacked by my neighbors dog while on a walk. Besides having the support of the medical staff at a great facility, it was nice to know that I had the support of HealthyPaws as well. A representative from the claims department called to ask how Lucy was doing and to informed me that they would be sending the check right away. I have began to recommend healthy paws to friends and family who have pets. I am very pleased and touched that Tim from healthy paws send me a personalized email to check on Lucy. Getting my baby girls pet insurance with healthy paws was a great decision! I highly recommend it.

I've gone through multiple pet insurance companies and Healthy Paws is hands down the BEST- and also the only insurance company that feels worth it! They've always gone above and beyond with helping me get my pets medical condition taken care of. My 7 year old English bulldog got mast cell cancer, and they covered 90 percent of the cost of his tumor removals.. additional tests and techniques to make the surgeries more comfortable were offered by my vet at high additional costs, i of course said yes not expecting them to be covered, but many people have to say no because they can't afford it. No one should have to say no to these things because of finances, and because of Healthy Paws, I'm able to rest easy knowing my dog is supported. Life happens, and unfortunately I don't have the income I had during my dogs early years .. of it wasn't for the amazing Healthy Paws team I would probably have to decline necessary services. I do grateful for the whole team at Healthy Paws, and encourage everyone to sign up with them and not wait till something happens . They are amazing and truly do care for your pet. Filing a claim is easy and fast, just do it !

There are not enough positive things I can say about Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. This was my first experience with pet insurance and I did my research with several companies and Healthy Paws had the best coverage for the most reasonable monthly fee. They cover everything, except the doctor's exam and immunizations, which is incredibly reasonable. Their services have allowed me to get my dog the very best medical care possible and have come to our rescue when she had to have major knee surgery this year. They review and pay claims incredibly fast - usually within a week or 2 and the app is so easy to use! It allows you to take a picture of your receipt and upload it to the site, so you instantly submit your claim after the vet visit. The staff is super friendly and responds quickly to inquiries. They have written several times to check on my fur baby after surgery. What is unique about this company that others don't have is they cover conditions such as hip dysplasia and cancer treatments so you never have to worry about making a decision on care for your pet. I recommend this company to anyone who is getting a new pet or has one with no coverage - they are amazing!!

After spending well over $10,000 in medical bills on our previous dog, we researched several dog insurance companies before we purchased our new pup. We felt the most comfortable with Healthy Paws and are glad we chose them. Our dog, Denali, sadly, was diagnosed recently with osteosarcoma and we made the difficult decision to have our dog's leg amputated and to start chemotherapy to give him the best chance at survival. These decisions we had to make were tough, on their own, but the entire process was made easier knowing that Healthy Paws was there to provide us with the financial ability to give our Denali the best care possible. As per their website, within 10 business days of my submitting the statements for Denali's biopsies and surgery, Healthy Paws processed our claim and will be reimbursing us for part of the bill. Denali will be starting 6 rounds of chemotherapy next week and, while we wish we didn't have to go through all of this, it is all made much easier (and possible) because of the commitment Healthy Paws has made to us and our dog's health. We cannot state strongly enough how pleased we are that Healthy Paws is exactly as they advertise!

I whole heartedly recommend Healthy Paws. Our 14 month old puppy had been in ICU for a full 7 days, having undergone major surgery - Healthy Paws covered 80% of an extremely expensive hospital bill. Receiving our reimbursement helped relieve much anxiety, allowing us to concentrate our attention on caring for our little guy when he finally came home. Also, I was touched that someone personally called, and when they did not reach me, emailed me to inquire on how our puppy was feeling and recuperating Don't know of any company that takes the time to do that. Healthy Paws App for submitting a bill could not be more simple to use - just take a picture of the bill with your phone and submit. It should be noted (although after all we've been through, this is a minor consideration to me now, but might matter to someone else) the only reason I did not give a full 5 stars is that they do not cover the expense of prescription food, which can be quite expensive. I can't say for sure, but this may be something that no pet insurance company will reimburse. I did price compare other pet insurance companies and Healthy Paws not only received the best reviews, but they are also VERY affordable.
