Best decision ever!

My dog had a life-threatening emergency which required surgery and a 3-day hospitalization. Fortunately we were able to recognize his symptoms and get him quickly to an excellent emergency veterinary hospital. We were also fortunate to have Healthy Paws pet insurance so we could feel assured that the cost of his care would not unduly burden us. Our claim was processed literally within hours of our submitting it, and today I received a check for 90% of our bill, minus the deductible. Getting this insurance when he was a puppy was one of our best decisions ever!

If only humans had insurance this great

Healthy Paws came to me via my neighbor who had the best experience with them. Skeptical, I signed up thinking I would never need it or if I did, it wouldn't be worthy. They have turned out to be the most compassionate, easy, and delightful experience I never expected. Each step is so easy. From signing up to submitting claims. The response rate is by far the quickest I have experienced and it's all so human. They treat you like a friend. I have recommended them to ALL my friends with pets. Worth every penny

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance covered a marginal surgical procedure for my golden retriever for $800. It was an issue that would have gone away on its own in time and they didn't have to cover, and they still covered it at 90% and not only did that, they CHECKED IN after the surgery to see how she was. Whose health insurance even does that? They are worth every penny. I researched them ALL and heard the best word of mouth from my friends on them.

Healthy Paws is AMAZING

I have been a loyal and appreciative Healthy Paws customer since 2015. They have taken amazing care of my two Labradors who have both had significant health emergencies. Most recently my dog tore her ACL. The surgery was over $4,000 to repair her knee and 90% of it was covered, no questions asked. Their customer service is impeccable. They process claims extremely fast and the best part is that they truly care! I highly recommend them.

Great company

Amazing company with prompt response and compassion. My dog had to have surgery and every conversation I had with the reps was nice and they all showed concern about my dog's well being. I even got an email a week later asking how my dog was recovering. What insurance company does that? Everything (except the vet exam was covered), and I got a check quickly in the mail. I highly recommend healthy paws!

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
