The best pet insurance company

This company is the best. My dog recently had ACL surgery, They were wonderful to work with. Whenever I called I spoke with the nicest and most caring people. Filing a claim was a breeze, just faxed over the invoice. Payment was sent out within 3 weeks of my dogs surgery. I wish human insurance was this easy.

Not only do they provide a valuable insurance product that has helped our pet but they have fantastic customer service.

I was skeptical about the pet insurance market in general but was relieved that I had made the decision to purchase it when, a few months later, my young rescue dog got severely ill. It turns out I couldn't have picked a better company, too. The insurance product has turned out quite valuable to me, financially. But I have been amazed by the quality of customer service. The company is responsive, polite, helpful and caring. It is only a shame that they only provide insurance for pets, not humans.

Healthy Paws exceeds my expectations on all levels

Healthy Paws exceeds my expectations on all levels! I did due diligence and researched pet insurance companies before signing Morgan up with Healthy Paws. I initially thought I would need insurance for orthopedic injuries; little did I know what was in store. Morgan was diagnosed with diabetes over a year ago, has had several surgeries to remove lipomas and a soft tissue sarcoma. But the most unexpected was a recent emergent event where Morgan had a tumor that was quietly growing on her spleen until it ruptured. She required emergency surgery and 3 days of ICU. Healthy Paws paid 80% of the surgery and hospital bill of 9,200 with the claim processed within 10 days! I am happy to report that Morgan's tumor ended up being benign! Healthy Paws has covered up to 80% of Morgan's ongoing medical expenses related to diabetes, as well as past surgeries and testing. They genuinely care about how she is doing and provide excellent service. Morgan is my world, and I am grateful to Healthy Paws for taking care of both of us!

look out for the exclusions!

You cannot believe what they don't cover! read your policy as anyone should and be aware that even common conditions will not be covered. These items include no dental disease coverage, no annual visits even offered, and not one of my exam fees/office visits has ever been covered. they even excluded my perfectly healthy dog from being able to get coverage for future hip dysplasia. makes no sense. I'm looking into aspca coverage.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
