We’ve been part of the Healthy Paws family since our Yellow Labs, Raffles and Nina, were Babies. Raffles will be 9 in just a week and Nina will be 7 in February. They are our Babies, the loves of our life.
When Raffles was 5, he was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor on his stomach, after it’s removal, he required 16 sessions of radiation treatment.
About 2 years ago, he was playing and sheared off his lower canine, he had a root canal and a titanium crown put on. (The removal of a canine tooth is very difficult on a dog because of the extremely long nerve, often resulting in the dog’s jaw breaking, which is why we chose a root canal and a crown for Raffles.)
Just 3 weeks ago, Raffles had a tummy ache, which turned into a mass being discovered on his spleen, leading to the removal of his spleen and a 20 centimeter mass, which thank God, was not cancerous.
He is recovering and more and more himself every day, he just started playing with his little sister again last night. He’s our precious Boy, our Heart and Soul, we would do anything for him and his sister.
Healthy Paws has been with us EVERY step of the way, it is by far the BEST money we have ever spent. We have never had to hesitate a second to take the best possible care of our Babies. The Healthy Paws team is always wonderfully supportive, the claim process is easy and fast, and their customer service is absolutely outstanding.

Healthy Paws helped save our Luigi’s life!
Our boy was diagnosed with severe meningitis, encephalitis and osteomyelitis (extreme infections in his spinal column, brain, muscle and bone) after a foreign body, most likely a foxtail, apparently migrated into his spinal column.
His diagnosis and treatment have required a series of very expensive MRIs, and aggressive, ongoing treatment at Animal Internal Medicine & Specialty Services, one of the top veterinary specialty clinics in California. Without the coverage from Healthy Paws, this treatment would have been entirely out of reach for us.
After two weeks in Intensive care receiving IV antibiotic therapy, an additional 3 months of antibiotics at home and 2 follow-up MRIs, Luigi is nearly infection-free, and back to his happy ball-chasing self. His Vet expects a 100% recovery, a result that we absolutely could not have hoped for without coverage from Healthy Pets Insurance.
The claims process with Healthy Pets is simple, professional and compassionate. We were reimbursed quickly and for some of the larger claims, Healthy Pets was able to directly pay our Vet their portion directly, so that our out of pocket costs were only the 10% that we owed.
We really felt like the staff at Healthy Paws genuinely cared about our pet’s life and health, and were compassionate about our experience dealing with the illness of our beloved family member. I now recommend Healthy Pets to everyone with a pet that I know.

Helpful, Prompt & Caring - All one would want and more
Our weimaraner Sitka, at 14 months, got a severe case of pneumonia and nearly died. After four days at a veterinary specialty hospital, on IV fluids, 2 antibiotics and oxygen, she survived and is back at full health.
As one can imagine it was all quite expensive, racking up over $8,000 in bills.
The people at Healthy Paws came through promptly with care and professionalism. Two weeks from submission to payment, with a personal note in between asking how she was doing.

Healthy Paws Beats All Other Pet Insurances
My 15 dog JJ has had 2 operations and 1 stroke in the past year and I would not have been able to take him to my vet and a speciality animal hospital if not for Healthy Paws and their level of reimbursement. Healthy Paws reimburses quickly and are easy to talk to on the phone. I really feel that they care about my JJ and I know he would be a little sick guy if not for Healthy Paws.
$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.
Coverage
One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more.

Age Limits

Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
