Our dog Luca is a dear part of our family and we are extremely happy that he is healthy again. Not very prompt on claim processing

I have had this insurance for a year and a half and only had two claims that went to deductible. They say they process claims within 10 days but I filed a claim on 11-27 and got another email stating they were reviewing the claim and it would be another 10 days just today. With all the high reviews on this pet insurance, I am not impressed as of yet about the speediness of processing claims. I have Pets Best for my other 2 dogs and they process the claims pretty fast even if I get paid or not.

Healthy Paws is awesome

I've had Healthy Paws for my Great Pyrenees since Sept 2013. I did a lot of research before I signed up and Healthy Paws had the best ratings. They have been great and have always processed my claims quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend them if you are considering insurance for your pet

They cover everything they should

I have had Healthy Paws for my yellow lab for the past five years. Unfortunately I've had to use it in a few emergency situations and I am very thankful that I had insurance for my fur child. I just used it last month when my dog was vomiting blood for an unknown reason and had to rush her to the ER where she stayed overnight. It was comforting knowing that with insurance I didn't have to worry about cost nearly as much and she could get the best care possible. Every claim I've submitted with Healthy Paws has been processed quickly and they have covered exactly what was agreed upon in my contract with them. I wish my personal health insurance was this easy and straightforward. I'm a loyal customer for life.

Very caring and easy to work with, processing a claim is so easy.

Excellent customer service and prompt claim processing. After my dog had TPLO surgery they even sent an email to see how she was.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
