The Best

My dog 2 year-old dog Clark has been insured with Healthy Paws since I got him when he was 10 weeks. He has had numerous health issues since I adopted him, including two that required major surgeries. Earlier this month after he suddenly lost the ability to use his hind limbs, I rushed him to the hospital only find out he needed emergency spinal surgery to the tune of nearly 9 grand. Thankfully, I had Healthy Paws who not only covered 90% of my bill, but made it so easy. They even arranged something with the emergency hospital who were demanding payment in order to take him in so I didn't even have to front the money. They are always SO easy to work with, I always get right through to a very kind rep when I call and, unlike with most areas of my life, I have zero complaints! Can't recommend this enough!!

Mr. Rox says thank you for his fixed elbows!

These guys covered THOUSANDS of dollars for our dog's elbow dysplasia - the condition that's rarely covered by insurance companies. We got lucky we chose them! It's such a good feeling to be able to give your dog THE BEST medical care and not worry about the money. Great experience!

Awesome Customer Service!

Our 8-1/2 year old Australian Shepherd, Cricket, required major knee surgery due to severed cruciate ligaments which occured (we think) over time. She was a frisbee star and a big fan of the game! Our vet recommended a TPLO - Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy. The surgery was $5000 and the after care includes 8 weeks of Adequan shots for arthritis plus physical therapy which is ongoing. There have been 12 claims so far, and Healthy Paws has paid every claim without a question. The only exclusions are fees entitled "office visits," but that exclusion was clearly stated when we purchased the policy. Cricket is currently undergoing hydro therapy, laser therapy and Bemer therapy which emits electromagnetic pulses at the injury site to stimulate blood flow and accelerate healing. Healthy Paws is covering these visits as well. This coverage is far superior to my own personal health insurance which denies every claim, even those covered by the policy, requiring phone calls and appeals for re-review. I can't say enough good things about this company. In addition, their mobile site allows the customer to take a photo of the vet bill and upload to the site. THAT IS IT! So simple. And lastly, every employee we have spoken with is supremely polite and always asks how Cricket is doing! Truly amazing!! Thank you Healthy Paws!!!

The best pet insurance in the USA

Our 4 1/2 year old Standard Poodle had to have a laparoscopic liver biopsy in Cincinnati. Healthy Paws was great and paid 90% of everything except for office visits and prescription food. This also included his liver support medication, labs, etc. We have had many claims over the years and they have never denied anything. They also reached out to me to see out how he was doing. The premium goes up a little each year but not too much. They are also very timely. I would use them again and recommend this insurance company to anyone.

The "Allergic Reaction" is a pre-existing condition for them, what a joke!

My dog had an allergic reaction and had a swollen paw. The doctor does not know exactly what caused the reaction just say that it is an allergy of some kind. HealthyPaws turn down the claim, citing that my dog had other "allergy" before. Therefore, any kind of allergy is considered a preexisting condition. An allergic reaction can be caused by many different factors, ate something wrong, sniff something wrong, touch something wrong, and so on. It’s like if your dog vomits or had diarrhea before the insurance, then any type of illness that caused diarrhea or vomit is not covered. I am canceling both my dogs’ policies. Will find another policy that does not consider “Allergic reaction” as preexisting, this is just silly!
