Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Healthy Paws is the best decision we ever made for our dog Winnie. I did a lot of research on various pet insurance companies when Winnie first chose me six years ago. I concluded that Healthy Paws was the best, and I have not been disappointed. I have friends who chose to use other insurance companies and they have not been nearly as satisfied as I have been with Healthy Paws. Healthy Paws gives me the peace of mind that no matter what happens, we will be able to do what is best for Winnie without thinking twice about how we will be able to afford it. I highly recommend Healthy Paws to anyone who has the responsibility of loving a four legged creature.

We are so very grateful that we signed up with Healthy Paws Pet insurance when our Chocolate Lab was a puppy. She has a thing for clothing, and each time, healthy Paws has been there to help. I could never have afforded the surgery for my dog without this insurance, and I appreciated the friendly customer service and the quick turnaround time for reimbursement -- less than a week!

My 5 year old golden retriever, Apple, had a herniated disc in her back requiring delicate neurosurgery and many days of ICU followup. I cannot express how thankful I was that she was protected by a Healthy Paws policy! It allowed me to get Apple the very BEST and updated treatment available including the use of the hyperbaric chamber which was pivotal in her speedy recovery. I was so impressed that Apple's Healthy Paws policy had no maximum, did not exclude anything my doctor ordered and my claims were processed in a couple days!. Apple's claimwas thousands of dollars and it was paid with no issues or hassle! What a relief it was for me to know my fur baby could have all this and I did not have to worry about how I was going to pay the bill. I will always make sure my dogs are insured by Healthy Paws! This is an incredible, irst rate company that I will continue to recommend to all my friends.

We had issues with our dog that seemed to be covered but were not when you look into the fine print. Fine, not the issue here. The issue is the absolute lack of correspondence, disappointing customer service, coupled with the extremely high deductible - with no payout. I am utterly confused by the high ratings of this insurance company. This was why we chose them in the first place. Having brought up the name to our vet, they told us that a lot of patients have issues with them. I feel slightly swindled! Will be going with a different provider.

Sierra is a 5 y.o. Silken Windhound. When I watched her race through the house at 8 weeks, I, immediately, reviewed policies and chose Healthy Paws, thinking she might one day hurt herself running. Sadly, she has recently been diagnosed with copper storage disease. This required multiple labs, non invasive procedures and a laparoscopic liver biopsy to definitively diagnose her and will require several medications for an indefinite time. I have no idea what I would have done without Healthy Paws. They process claims usually within 2 or 3 days, and reimbursement goes to my checking account (my option) within 10 days. I recommend Healthy Paws to everyone.
