Highly recommend Healthy Paws! easy to submit claims AND quick turnaround

My english bulldog Hendrix has had many medical issues since he was born, initially i had another insurance and non of the early procedures were covered because they were all deemed breed specific and hereditary. Thankfully after this i switched to Healthy Paws, their plan is straight forward and submitting a claim is easy via the app. That's right, an app and NOT forms to fill out. Without Healthy Paws my dog Hendrix wouldn't be doing as well as he is now. I'm very grateful for Healthy Paws ;-)

Don’t go without this insurance!

We have two Labrador retrievers and within the last two years both needed TPLO surgeries. Healthy Paws showed compassion and caring. They were quick in there responses and with medical reimbursement. Hands down- this is the best pet insurance!

Healthy Paws was the best decision I made when first adopting my cats

Healthy Paws is an amazing insurance company! Yes, I'm saying amazing and insurance company all in the same sentence. Recently I adopted my cat named Bogart, and shortly after adopting him he had to go through testing every week to determine he developed allergies and asthma after spending a harsh winter outside. Healthy Paws reimbursed me at 90% and it's been so helpful to not be stressed about pet medical costs. I just adopted a kitten and the first thing I did was get him registered on Healthy Paws. Thank you for all of your help!

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
