Healthy Paws is the Best!

This pet insurance is absolutely the best! Never had an issue. FAST response time on claims, always have the money within 2 weeks. If signing up, be sure to select the right yearly deductible for you as well as the percentage you will receive back after your deductible is met. I always recommend Healthy Paws, cant go wrong.

Healthy Paws came through after my furbaby tore her CCL and had major surgery!

My fur baby jumped on my bed and completely tore her CCL requiring major surgery. I sent Healthy Paws all of her medical records and within 10 days they approved the claim and reimbursed me accordingly. I have 4 dogs insured with them and would highly recommend them. I have had my dogs covered since 2012 and wouldn't go anywhere else.

So glad I have Healthy Paws coverage!

I selected Healthy Paws based on a Consumer Reports article about how to shop for pet insurance that I found when my puppy first came home. Little did I know that this pricey dog I went all the way to Australia to buy would have a difficult to diagnose issue that, at 18 months, required a CT scan and very delicate, rare surgery. The CT and surgery cost most of $10K, never mind the previous ultrasounds and drug therapies that had been tried. I am so grateful that we had insurance. They don't pay for everything, but they sure a lot of the sting out of those big vet bills. The claim submission process couldn't be easier--login, attach a scan of the bill, maybe attach a copy of the medical record, and in a few days an email announces the claim has been processed and a couple of days later a check is in the mail. I am very happy with this company and SO grateful to have the coverage.

if you are going to have to get insurance for your pet, I think Healthy Paws should definitely be on the very top of that list.

I signed up for Healthy paws insurance (80% coverage plan) for both of my dogs last year around June. I thought the premium they charge was fairly reasonable. Covers everything (except pre-existing condition, obviously, 15 days waiting period for any claims, 12 months waiting period for dysplasia) This year in April, my dog torn his ACL and the vet ended up suggesting TPLO surgery on both his hind knees. The bill came out to be absolutely eye watering $11000. I was going to do the surgery whether insurance covers it or not (and yes it would hurt alot but my dog means more to me than 11k. much more). To my surprise, Healthy paws promptly processed the claim, and then have me reimbursed all within 2 weeks, before the credit card bill even show up. As far as I can tell, the preimum I have paid since I signed up is no where near what the bill is. For the first time in my life, I am truely greatful about an insurance company. I normally hate them, especially the auto insurance ... Call me naive, but I am going to keep my policy active as long as possible in hope that one day the total premium will offset this bill ... (wouldn't mind if my dog can live that long). I think, any pet owner needs to buy health insurance for the pet. Vet bills is scary and it's not whether your pet will need it, it's when your pet will need it. And if you are going to have to get insurance for your pet, I think Healthy Paws should definitely be on the very top of that list.
