Easiest Claim Process

Our puppy recently required surgery to remove an obstruction. I contacted Healthy Paws from our vets office prior to surgery to ensure that this was covered and the customer service rep answered my questions quickly and completely in what was a high stress situation for our family. Filing a claim upon completion of the procedure couldn’t have been easier — upload your invoice and make sure they have your vet records, and the claim was processed in just a few days. This took all the financial stress out of our decision and I cannot speak highly enough about Healthy Paws. We are so thankful that we had this policy in place!

Efficient and hassle free reimbursement

Healthy Paws reimbursed us for our dog’s surgery in less than two weeks, their stated turnaround time. Their web interface is very easy to use - I uploaded three files within one minute. After a few email updates, and a follow up to see how my dog was doing, I received my check in the mail - no hassle.

I am so thankful that I have my dogs insured through Healthy Paws Pet Insurance! Customizing your monthly payment and deductible is very simple. They make filing claims easy and painless, and they process the claims super quickly! After meeting your deductible, your reimbursement is in your account within days and they send a detailed review of what services are being covered. One of my dogs recently had surgery and they made the whole process way less stressful because I knew they were going to help cover a large majority of the cost! I would highly recommend them to anyone who has a pet!

Absolutely wonderful!

I absolutely love Healthy Paws! My dog Scout was diagnosed with Epilepsy when she was about 2 years old, she's had to take two medications every month ever since. That along with normal scrapes she gets into means her vet bills can get really high. I am so glad I took a friends advise and picked a health insurance policy for Scout when she was a puppy because it has helped tremendously. They are quick to process claims and are detailed in what they coved. The re-imbursement hits my bank account in a few days, it really provides ease of mind.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
