Couldn't Have Been Better... Or Easier.
As soon as I learned that our young Labradoodle needed surgery on both rear knees, and that the condition was probably genetically based, I called Healthy Paws to ask about coverage. Within seconds, I was assured that, once they could verify that I insured her prior to any signs of the condition, the costs would be reimbursable. The rep also suggested it would be easier for me to have the vet's office submit the claim. From that moment on, I can only wish that human insurance companies could be as easy to deal with. I was kept informed via email, and received a check within 10 days. I submitted my own claim for a follow-up visit for prescription meds and it was approved the next day. There is no question but that I'll continue her coverage for the foreseeable future.
