Under New Management?

I have had all three of my dogs insured with Healthy Paws since 2012. They used to be terrific. Now they are horrible. They deny claims because they say they don't have records, even though the records have been sent, I appeal the claims only to have the appeal disappear with no resolution, I can't get in touch with anyone to discuss the issues, and if I do, it usually means starting all over again. I have given up and filed complaints with BBB and the Insurance Commissioner.

They used to be good, seems they are swamped . They wear you down with a arduos claim process.

So I submitted a claim for my cat with hypothyroidism. I filed a claim for a july visit and the matter is still up in the air. I had records sent and have confirmation from H.Paws they received them. The clam was denied and i asked for a appeal based on the records. So far i have logged over 5 hours on the phone with them. With no evidence of action. Initially I was told a little after labor day, check back in a week. Its been over 10 days, When i call back now I hear a appeal can take 30 days. I can see no evidence there is a appeal pending processing. ( anthoer 30 minutes on the phone to get that info) Just living and dealing with businesses, something definitely has happened. Healhypaws has all of the bad warning signs based on my life experience. They keep changing there story, and there aversion therapy makes you think twice before filing a claim. I am totally fine working with the web and email. To date not one of my emails has been answered. ZERO! They use a call center now in the Philippines. You have to give all of your information , then wait in the cue, typically 30-45 minutes to speak to someone in washington state. Then repeat the SAME information all over again, In the past i think this site and other research led me too them. I think its time to move on.

Best customer service

Healthy Paws has given us great customer service from the first phone call before we picked up our puppy to today. They are always willing to answer questions. Knowing that they are on our side (and our puppy's side) provides so much comfort and peace of mind. I highly recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance!
