Healthy Paws Has Saved Us

My poor Husky has had 3 major surgeries in 14 months. Two ACL repairs and one to repair a tiny hole in his lungs. Healthy Paws has paid all three of those claims as expected and we have no complaints. Just understand what is paid for an what is not paid for. The cost of a office visit is not covered. Food is not covered and routine vaccinations are not covered. Pre-existing conditions are not covered. There is also a yearly deductible and in our case it is $250. My dog is my family and it's worth it to pay a few bucks a month to be sure he gets the care he need if he ever needs it. To me I would rather pay for it for 15 years and never use it then not pay for it and have to make a decision one time based on money. It is well worth it.

Must-have Pet Insurance

If you love your pet, you need to have pet insurance so that you can provide your furry companion with the best healthcare if the need arises. Emergencies are extremely costly and could set you back tens of thousands of dollars, having the assurance that our dog is insured by Healthy Paws has been a huge relief for us.

Avoid HealthyPaws At All Costs

Claims are not processed within 10 days as claimed. Two claims have been denied or closed because of insufficient medical records and because my pet allegedly did not have a wellness visit (to confirm the pet was healthy before becoming sick). I have received several emails where the company requests "the following records:" and then nothing appears after the colon. Customer service is horrible and very combative. This is clearly a company that is glad to take your premium and simply rubber stamp "DENY" as to any claim. I shouldn't have to fight for the coverage I am paying for.

Best pet insurance company

I have nothing but praise for healthy paws. Their insurance is top notch. The quick payments are second to none and the follow up emails shows they care about my cats. I researched many other insurances and am very happy I went with healthy paws, they do give you peace of mind and you don’t have to worry about giving your pets the best care because of cost.

Best decision I made

I have been a member since March of this year (2019). It was easy to sign up. I signed with them because they are the number 1 rated pet insurance. I had to call the customer service a few times for help and they were very helpful. Prior for signing up I got quotes from different companies and shopped around what others offered. So far, this company is this cheapest premium rate. I pay only $59.06/mo for two dogs. I like it that whenever you submit a claim it goes directly to the deductible. There are a few things...that I wish that Healthy Paws offer such as a multi-pet discount, pet wellness plan and a way to just pay off the deductible all at once. But other than that...I have never had a problem with this company. The website and app are pretty easy to use when you submit a claim. I wish I had pet insurance in the past when I actually had a $600 vet bill with my dog who passed. I learned my lesson and got pet insurance now and I'm glad I found an insurance company that is affordable and I love that it's also a foundation that helps homeless dogs. I definitely recommend this insurance.
