Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Recently, we had to bring my Shih Tzu to an Emergency Vet. When I got home from work, he would not walk and just moved his head from side to side. From there, I saw my regular vet the next morning and was then referred to a neurologist. I had each doctor send an insurance claim in to Healthy Paws who immediately processed my claims within days of each visit and expect to receive our reimbursement soon. I had opted for insurance six years ago that has a $500 deductible and 90% reimbursement so the majority of our bill is being covered. It is wonderful to have such a fabulous pet insurance company behind us; sending us notes not to worry about the claims as they will process them and to focus on my dog. We have been able to focus on our pup with no worries whether the claim was being handled or not as we received constant updates on the status. We love Healthy Paws Pet Insurance and will continue to use them as our provider for years to come.

9 days in hospital, 3 blood transfusions, medication for immune mediated hemolytic anemia. Without treatment she would have passed away in 4-5 days from a blood clot red blood cells were clumping. Was told it would be expensive to treat we were glad we had the choice to say treat her. Claims were easy to do they kept in touch with meds I needed to collect all her medical records someone always got back to me in a timely manner. Rates are good, can choose your deductible and what percentage you want reimbursed. I have been recommending them to family and friends!

Very happy with healthy paws. They process claims quick and efficiently and make it super easy to submit. Read your policies and u won't have any issue on what's covered and such. Very satisfied with them

I was a true believer in healthy paws ins in the beginning, Now they continue to hike the monthly rates to un affordable sky high amounts ,When my dogs were pups it was affordable but since then I have retired and am on a fixed income and low and behold they have raised my monthly premiums to 6 times what it was .making it impossible to continue the coverage at a time when we need it the most, We have come to the conclusion we can no longer afford to be responsible pet owners
