We love Healthy Paws!

We are so happy we chose Healthy Paws! When our puppy came down with some stomach issues we were left with the decision to either “wait it out and see if it resolves or come in to see if it was serious”. Rather than chance it and worry about her, we took her in right away knowing that we had Healthy Paws by our side. She ended up being okay but racked up quite a bill from an overnight stay at the emergency vet. We were blown away by how quickly Healthy Paws processed our claim! Within 24 hours of filing the claim it was fully processed and 24 hours after that the direct deposit of reimbursement was in my bank account. The cost of the insurance per month is nothing when it comes to not having to worry about the financial stress of your pet’s health. Before I filed the claim I looked over Healthy Paws posted policies to roughly estimate how much we would get back and it was 100% spot on. I was so happy to see that there were no hidden expenses that they would not cover. It really is a straight forward and transparent process. I would highly recommend Healthy Paws to any pet parent! It is so worth it!

Excellent care, great customer service

Never had an issue with Healthypaws. I've been with them for 5 years now and they've always made claims easy. They give me a lot of peace of mind that I don't need to hesitate when getting my pups care.

Two very active Whippets

When my puppy was 8 months old she got very ill with giardia, aspirated bacteria, and a collapsed right lung. The bill came to thousands of dollars. The emergency clinic suggested pet insurance and I bought a policy through a company which was not Healthy Paws. After a healthy year for my puppy with no claims, the premium was raised by 25%. I switched to Healthy Paws at the advice of my regular vet. Since that time, I have added another dog and added him onto my policy. Both of my pups are very active Whippets and they manage to get into a lot of trouble mostly by running fast and cutting their thin skin. Healthy Paws has been wonderful at reviewing and reimbursing our claims. They keep me updated on the claims review process and during long recovery periods from my pups' serious injuries, Healthy Paws has sent me personalized enquiries as to my pups' conditions. I feel they really care about the health of my pups. In the almost six years that I have been with Healthy Paws, I have had one rate hike and their service has never disappointed. I have referred friends and they, too, have been very happy with Healthy Paws.

Lucky vs. Hemangiosarcoma

Last May our beloved 12-year-old Lucky went into the vet after acting strangely for weeks. We received the worst news when she was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma. She required immediate emergency surgery to remove her hemorrhaging spleen and even after that her prognosis was 4 months. Her cancer was coupled with stage 3 kidney disease. We managed her health by cooking her meals twice a day with a dozen supplements added and monitoring her bloodwork monthly. When people would visit they could not believe she was even ill. She made it until her 13th birthday in January before she started showing signs of illness again, so much further than her original prognosis. She was showing serious signs of illness yet we went to a handful of doctors and none were able to pin it down. One Saturday morning I woke up and looked at Lucky to see her gums were completely pale white. We went to the emergency vet to find she was internally bleeding-and quite badly. We were referred to another vet down the road to perform an ultrasound which confirmed our fears, the cancer was back and her liver was hemorrhaging. There was one last Hail Mary if we could swing it. Blue Pearl had a surgeon that could perform this operation and possibly save her. We drove her to the facility, they performed the surgery and two weeks later she went swimming in our pool. I can say, without a doubt that without Healthy Paws we would not have been able to do this for her. I never received a single denied claim, only amazing customer service and quick turnaround. We received reimbursement within 2 weeks for every single claim. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone reading this, they are an amazing company that truly loves pets
