Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Healthy Paws has wonderful and timely claims processing and customer service. They processed our claim in about one week, and even checked in with us to see how our dog was doing after her surgery, in a very personal and kind email. I can't say how appreciative I am of Healthy Paws's help with paying for our dog's surgery bill. I really have no idea what I would have done without them. I would have been completely drained of my savings, and in debt. When I saw that Healthy Paws had approved the claim and my refund came through, I was really moved to the point of tears at the relief. Healthy Paws really saved me and my dog from an extremely difficult financial situation, and ensured that I can continue to provide my dog with the best possible medical care. Healthy Paws has been wonderful during my dogs recent health issues, which included surgery for bladder stones. Claims have been processed promptly and checks have been sent out quickly. Our dog Millie presented with a few symptoms that seemed unrelated but turned out to be allergies. She had several visits to the vet and extensive testing, which was quite expensive. She is now receiving immunotherapy in hopes of reducing her reaction to trees, grass, etc. Healthy Paws is outstanding! We've always insured our pets and Healthy Paws has the simplest claims process by far as well as the fastest claim turnaround time. It is also the least expensive when compared to Trupanion and other pet insurance companies. I highly recommend Healthy Paws

Buying pet insurance turned out to be very smart as my young Labrador has elbow joint problems and required surgery. My Healthy Paws pet insurance company has been easy to work with, cooperative, and helpful the whole time. I love using their very automated website where I can upload my scanned invoices, receive emails confirming receipt and payment, and have their payments automatically sent to my checking account. My monthly premium is also automated. My policy coverage has worked out well for me where office exams are not covered but the big items are at 80%. I highly recommend them.

I have been with Healthy Paws since 2011, they have always been absolutely great and it makes me sick to have to write this. They have covered three of my beloved dogs who have passed, they were always gracious, easy to contact, paid exactly what they said they would, and even sent me sympathy cards personally signed by staff when my first two dogs passed. Their rates have always been affordable, too, until now. My rates for two young dogs, who have never had a claim in the time I've had them, are going up by over $50. When I wrote to them about it they sent back an email that they have clearly been sending to others referring to my dog, "Taco". I have never in my life had a dog named "Taco'. And when my beloved girl passed last December, they didn't bother to send a card. As their rates have skyrocketed, their customer service has bottomed out. It is truly a loss for pet owners and it's shameful. Shame on you, Rob Jackson (their CEO) for allowing this to happen. I'm in the process of switching my dog's insurance to another company.
