Awesome Insurance!!!

My dog needed surgery to remove a hardened cyst near his front paw that the vet/surgeon feared that will eventually become cancerous. Although I have had a policy with Healthy Paws for over 4 years, this was the first time I had to submit a major claim. First, Healthy Paws makes it super easy to submit a claim. I just logged into my account and uploaded the receipt. Second, Healthy Paws reviewed my claim and within 10 days, I received a payment directly deposited to my bank account. Healthy Paws' delivers on their promises!. I am happy to say that the surgery went very well and my dog has made a full recovery!

I have had 2 claims for my bull terrier…

I have had 2 claims for my bull terrier over the past 24 months. Both claims were processed easily and quickly. Staff super helpful. They even emailed to check in on my big boy and see how he was recovering.

Fabulous Pet Insurance company

My 4 lb 1 oz. 14 month yr. old yorkie named Ivy started throwing up and after 1 1/2 days of it and her totally not acting like herself I called her vet. and they had me bring her in right away. Not knowing whether she had eaten something she shouldn't have or somehow got poisoned they took x-rays and ran blood tests. It turned out the Ivy was dehydrated and had gastroenteritis. The vet. wanted to put an IV in her and keep her overnight to watch her closely. When I was told how much it was going to cost I cried. It was $1,829.00 that first day. The vets office was very considerate and submitted the claim to Healthy Paws. I can not say enough good things about Healthy Paws. After my $200.00 deductible they paid 90%. I received the check approximately one week after and they even followed up with emails to check on Ivy's progress. Healthy Paws is a wonderful pet insurance company to do business with. I highly recommend them.

Fast claim reimbursement, easy to use

We have an English Bulldog that is about to turn 10 years old. We knew when we made the decision to get an English Bulldog that it would likely come with frequent vet visits as they tend to have health problems so we have always carried pet insurance, We have tried different pet insurance plans in the past but I have found Healthy Paws to be the most comprehensive coverage. It's very easy to file claims and payment is super fast. The customer service is also great. The price of the plan is based upon pet’s species and age, and ZIP code so having an aging English Bulldog, prone to health issues, and living in New York City, the monthly price is probably higher than some other plans.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
