Our yellow lab Rudy who is almost 2 years old was diagnosed with a rare malignant melanoma above his right eye. He required two surgeries. Healthy Paws gave us the ability to give him the best possible outcome. The claims were very easy to submit through the Healthy Paws app. The reimbursement turn around time was very quick. Well, my 2 year old Dalmatian had to be taken to the ER, his primary vet, and a specialist all within two weeks. I have the highest coverage for my pup and instead for paying $1000+ out of pocket, I received reimbursement of 90% of his costs. The claim process is super easy and quick! After I submitted all his claims, a customer service representative reachEd out and asked how he was currently doing. I had Nationwide health insurance before Healthy Paws and they were trash. I have had Healthy Paws Pet insurance for almost 1 year now and I am happier than ever and reassured when it comes to the health coverage of my dog. Can't recall if there are different policies but, I pay about $58 / month for any illnesses or accidents my pup may have. My 14 month old pup began vomiting and within 24 hours he was vomiting blood. I took him to emergency where he got the care he needed. As expected, I paid a HEFTY medical bill. The one thing that I can say TRULY gave me peace of mind, was having coverage through Healthy Paws for emergency cases like what my pup experienced. Submitting a claim with them is super easy, through their user friendly website. They send you a confirmation and an email that the claim is being under review. If there are documents that are missing or further information they need, they follow up through email, and again, the submittal process is very easy. Within a matter of 7-10 days (or even less) there is a resolution to your claim. Since the medical bill was far enough beyond my deductible, Healthy Paws deducted that from my reimbursement, which of course is expected. Personally, my deductible is $250 and well worth the expense. Healthy Paws reimbursed me a great amount into my bank account within 1-2 days of the claim resolution. I was extremely happy with my experience with them and feel at ease should anything happen to my beloved pup! Quite honestly, I recommend Healthy Paws in a heartbeat to any pet owner!
