Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I am very happy with this insurance and the customer service I have received from them over the years. Most especially, the prompt and efficient updates after I submit a claim. There are no surprises - meaning they cover what they say they cover and do not find some loophold not to cover. I've used them for about six years now and one of my dogs was sickly and eventually passed. So I could say i've had a lot of interactions with them and found each experience as pleasant as it could be. I would definitely recommend Healthy Paws to pet owners.

I would recommend Healthy Paws to anyone after my latest experience. I had to take my cat for diagnostic testing, which included a CT scan, bloodwork, and a biopsy, and if I didn’t have pet insurance I simply wouldn’t have been able to afford his treatment. Healthy Paws also worked with my vet to make a direct payment so I was only responsible for my portion of the bill up front. Even if you aren’t concerned with your pet’s health now, this is a great way to prepare for the unexpected.

After researching Pet Insurance companies and asking around to my friends, I decided on Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for my adopted rescue dog-Harry. Six months after adoption, when Harry was just under 2 years old, I went on a cruise. While at sea (with no wifi or internet), and Harry with a pet sitter, he ingested things he should not have while she was at work. After excessive vomiting and diarrhea, she contacted my daughter who rushed him to the vet, and then on to the vet hospital. After emergency surgery, the vet bills came to over $3,900.00. I got home from the cruise to these insurmountable bills. I contacted Healthy Paws immediately, first through my app, and then via email. They asked for copies of the bills and a history of his vet visits (have this at hand) which weren't many for Harry as I only had him a month. I spoke with their rep on the phone once and he was understanding and helpful in explaining my benefits. Within 7 business days, I received a check paying 80% of the vet bills (minus my deductible and the $40 initial vet visit which is not covered in your insurance). Thanks to the vet for saving Harry's life! Thanks to Healthy Paws for making it possible for me to be able to afford to save my dog's life!

I am so pleased with the ease of filing a claim for my dog that was attacked by a coyote. I’ve had One other pet insurance policy and it was so stringent I knew Healthy paws was the only insurance I would ever own again.

It wasn't just about price, but also service, and their involvement as stewards to help other animals. I'm grateful for their phenomenal service with my Pug Gus, and also Frankie and Pablo who have also had visits that healthypaws reimbursed for. It's a great benefit to get pet insurance, but more importantly, it's something your pet deserves, and will give them a healthy and longer life. Without healthypaws, sometimes people have to make sad decisions they normally wouldn't have because of the financial consequences. healthypaws gets rid of that problem, and it's such a relief to have that sense of peace and security.
