Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Getting coverage with Healthy Paws was an excellent decision! I have 1 dog, and 2 cats, all covered through them. Not only does it give me peace of mind to know my fur-babies will be taken care of in the event of injury or sickness, but I can do so at an affordable price. When one of my cats had to go to the ER recently, I was devastated. After all was said and done, I was able to submit a claim for reimbursement, which was reviewed in a timely manner. They provided step by step updates so I knew the status of my claim and I was able to check the process via their website/app. Once approved, I received the check quickly and they even followed up to see how my little guy was feeling! They are very caring and responsive. The guidelines of the policy are also laid out so the policy owner knows and understands what is covered and what is not. I am very pleased with policy options available/monthly rate, the coverage itself, and my experience with the customer care team.

Recently, my pup had to get surgery to remove a foreign body. Making claims is sooo easy and they are always quick to get me reimbursed. Which was awesome because it was a pricey vet bill this time around. Only recommendation I have is the sooner you get your insurance the better.

Their customer service is really hit or miss and when it misses it’s just about as bad as it gets. I was a customer for 4 years have recently been corresponding with a customer service rep for the past month. He is slow to respond, doesn’t answer any of my questions, doesn’t follow up, about half of his responses are clearly standard copy, shows no empathy and is just generally not willing to help. I also called their help line and the people were friendly and helpful, but gave incorrect information and they too didn’t follow up with a response when they had said they would. There were many, many ways to come to the eventual resolution and I really wish the customer service rep had taken one that was customer service oriented. I wouldn’t recommend their service based on this experience. My account number was 310230-1.

Exceptional customer service and super quick claim reimbursement. Our cat had major hip surgery and Healthy Paws processed the claim within 24 hours of receiving it. Every experience with them has been excellent.

Healthy Paws is so easy to work with. My dog had a major surgery so I called to make sure that it would be covered. The lady was super nice and helpful and answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease that what I was paying the vet for would in fact be covered. Once I submitted a claim, it was processed within a week and I received a reimbursement check in the mail shortly after. This was so important to me considering high credit card interest rates on a high charge that I would be facing if I did not receive this reimbursement in a timely manner. I will never cancel my Healthy Paws insurance and am so glad that they were able to help me cover this surgery that I otherwise might not have been able to do for my sweet pup!
