It was so reassuring to know that Jean Pierre could get his much-needed operation it would have been beyond our means otherwise.

Having pet insurance was a great move for Jean Pierre and our family. Once we put our records and invoices in, the claim was promptly attended to and the people were kind and considerate to work with through the process to date.

Getting Healthy Paws pet insurance is the best thing I could ever get for my pet and I!

I’ve had Healthy Paws pet insurance for three years now. Unfortunately, my little fur baby is in everything and it’s cost her a couple hospital stays. Claim resolutions aren’t long and reimbursement is 90%...more than the other pet insurance companies I researched. Having Healthy Paws insurance is a “no- brainer”.

Thank Goodness for Healthy Paws

Our beloved 9-yr old Labradoodle spent three days in the ICU as he recovered from an "Addisonian crisis." He was diagnosed with Addison's Disease just two weeks before Christmas. Luckily for us, our Healthy Paws plan covered almost all of the expenses associated with his ICU stay and follow-up care. With so many things happening during the holidays, and a very sick dog, it was wonderful to be able to experience such an easy and efficient claims process. We didn't have to worry about waiting for weeks for our claims to be processed or spend extra time explaining his illness and care plans. Each claim was processed within days. HealthyPaws staff reached out to check on us and our dog. That was a very nice touch! We so appreciate HealthyPaws helping us through this stressful time and get our four-legged family member back to good health!

Dealing with Pneumonia

We were visiting family in Colorado over Christmas. Our little dog developed a cough. We took her to a vet and she was given antibiotics. A few days later her condition worsened and we rushed her back to the vet. They took xrays and treated her for what we would call bronchitis. After consulting the vet we felt she was improving and could come home to Pittsburgh. Once we returned, her cough suddenly changed and took a turn for the worse. I rushed her to the ER facility and they felt she had pneumonia. It was so hard for her to breathe that she was placed in an oxygen tank for several days. When she came home she had to take an antibiotic, steroids and a parasite medicine as they were unable to confirm what caused the inflammation in her lungs I recently submitted four sets of bills from two states to Healthy Paws. They quickly reviewed and reimbursed us per the terms of our policy. Our bills were in excess of six thousand dollars. We had opted for 80 % coverage. We feel very fortunate that we had coverage. If we get another dog we would contact Healthy Paws immediately and purchase 90% coverage as it is worth the peace of mind.
