If it was not for Healthy Paws my sweet boy would not be alive.

If it was not for Healthy Paws my sweet boy would not be alive. There are a lot of people out there that buy insurance for the peace of mind of knowing they have something to fall back on. This is not us. We got our dog at 8 weeks old. At 9 weeks he had severe medical complications. Since we have had him (he is almost 2 now) we have been at the vet no less than once a month. Typically we are there every other week as we flop back and forth from our family vet, our dermatologist, and our internal medicine doctor. The only bill that was not covered by them was our first ER bill as we were still in the waiting period. We are a family that pays a much higher monthly premium than most. However, that was a decision we made on our own. We chose to pay more per month for a lower deductible and a higher return rate. In fact, one of the main reasons we chose to use Healthy paws was their customization options. I was able to customize the plan exactly how I wanted. We are not a wealthy family so that was incredibly important to me. We shopped around a lot before we even got out dog and trust me, there are a lot of options out there. But not a single one of them comes close the coverage, cost, and customer service of Healthy Paws. Getting Healthy Paws was the best thing we could have ever done and we really do owe our dog’s life to them. If you are debating if this is the right plan for you, it is. I promise you that there is no better company out there.

I'm so thankful for Healthy Paws…

I'm so thankful for Healthy Paws insurance. I decided to purchase insurance in fall 2019 after a scare with my 6-year-old Frenchie. She had a lump on her stomach that had to be removed, and thankfully it was benign. I knew I should get insurance for future possible issues. Just two months later, she was showing signs of pain and not wanting to walk around. Through multiple vet visits, it was confirmed that she had IVDD. We decided to move forward with back surgery, and she's now 3-weeks post op and recovering very well. It was all very expensive, and I'm so thankful for the financial help from Healthy Paws. My current coverage is 70% after a yearly $500 deductible, and it saved me thousands of dollars. They reimbursed me quickly and even followed up via email to see how she is recovering. Very happy with my insurance plan!

Used to be good. Good luck of getting a hold of someone now.

I started with these guys a couple of years back and never had a problem. In the past few months, they didn't cover my cat on a visit that included one NON-ROUTINE test. I understand that mistakes happen and I emailed support three times w/ no response. I finally called in and after waiting about 30 minutes I spoke to someone. She had no record of my emails but assured me I could send the paperwork to claims@. I did that. No one responded. I have attempted to call in on three different occasions to get assistance with this and after waiting on hold for nearly 30 minutes, I have a life and had to go do something else. Secondly, I had a test done for my cats' thyroid condition that started happening AFTER I started getting covered with these guys. They didn't re-reimburse anything. Again, mistakes happen, however, I can't get a hold of anyone on the phone. This has been going on for THREE MONTHS NOW. I don't know what happened. Maybe they have new management or maybe they laid off staff to cut costs. In any case, I am on hold again now going on 31 minutes. I will attempt ONE more email and ONE more email. If I can't get a hold of anyone, I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to get this on their record and get the appropriate refund. This is unacceptable. I don't have multiple hours a day trying to track down BS. Thanks for reading. EDIT: I am unable to respond to your response so I am editing my initial post. My name is Ryan (LAST NAME REMOVED). Just post a phone number here for me to call or an email address that goes to a human. EDIT2: I have heard from someone and this now appears to be being worked through. I will consider a re-rating once this process is complete. It is still UNACCEPTABLE that it got this far. It is unacceptable that I have to go through a backchannel for basic services.

The best insurance ever, you won’t regret it!

This is my absolute favorite company that I trust for my dog!! As many pet owners our animals are basically our children, and we would more than likely do anything for them . Having insurance is so important just like it is for people, things can always happen and insurance is definitely a great way to help out with that. I just graduated college and it’s been tough looking for a job and at the same time my dog ended up needing surgery on his leg. With all my other expenses and in between jobs I was pretty stressed out but luckily healthy paws came to the rescue ( we’ve had insurance for almost a year now) and helped pay their percent which left us with ours and let me tell you it was definitely a life saver because I didn’t know what I was going to do as we all know surgeries and such can be extremely expensive. I am so glad to have healthy paws in our life, as much as I hope I wouldn’t need them ( no one wants their dog to get hurt) I am extremely happy they are there!
