Great option!

Our puppy recently had to have emergency surgery and we are so glad we decided to go with Healthy Paws for insurance. Not only did they cover a majority of the cost, they kept us up to date through the entire claims process and processed our claim within two weeks. It's great to have ease of mind on insurance when you are dealing with something like this. They also sent us a very nice follow up note to check in our how our puppy was doing. Would highly recommend!

The BEST Choice as a Pet Insurance

Healthy Paws has been the insurance company I chose as partners for my dog's healthcare. My pup has encountered many serious health issues in her 7 years. I am so grateful that Healthy Paws took the anxiety away from being able to make the best decision for my dog's well-being. I have recommended HP to other pet parents and show them how easy the claim submission is. I would never be without Healthy Paws as long as I have a canine companion.

Peace of Mind

My mischievous puppy loves to chew caps off of bottles. She saw no different when it was a pill bottle, and quickly jumped onto the counter to get it and play with it. Although she didn't eat any of the pills, she was able to get enough in her system to cause a mess. I wanted my baby to feel better, regardless of the cost. When she was released, I was faced with an astronomical bill. I was told by many to bring the paperwork with me to have the vet fill it out, because it was a headache to get reimbursed. I looked at my Healthy Paws paperwork and it was as simple as name, date, invoice number. No vet signature, or anything the vet had to do special. I was able to scan my invoice and anything else I needed the next day and within a few days I received a letter telling me I was covered for everything - I only paid my premium. It really eased my mind that I wouldn't go into debt because of an accident. The process was quick, easy and painless. I would recommend Healthy Paws to anyone in case of accidents - because they do happen.

Healthy Paws Equals Peace of Mind

Never did I think that my 3 year old Frenchie, Quintus, would need surgery. Unfortunately, it happened. He ruptured a disc and was in so much pain. I'm so glad we have Healthy Paws Insurance. Being able to care for our little guy as best as we can is a top priority. Healthy Paws gives us peace of mind that we can do that for him. Its been one week since the surgery and were hoping he'll be back to having fun in a month or so, Thank you Healthy Paws!!

8 year customer but no more

I signed up for Healthy Paws Pet Insurance 8 years ago for my young cat. We had to file a handful of claims over the years but nothing too serious. Then just when he turned 10 years old Healthy Paws sent a policy renewal notice that had a rate over 50% more than the year before! I called and asked and was told that it was because we moved (<10 minute drive from our old home but apparently changing zip codes was all it took.) I don't know why an indoor cat is going to suddenly change their health status because of their zip code, but I can only assume this was really because he had become a senior so they didn't want to cover him any more. My suspicions were confirmed when I put a claim in for lab work they had always covered in the past, only to have the claim denied with no reimbursement. That was the straw that broke the camel's back for me so I called and cancelled. Customer service made zero effort to try to keep me on-board. I'm giving them a star based on excellent service in years past, otherwise this would be a one star for a company that actively tries to drive customers away the moment their pets become more likely to have issues. Edit to add after company response: They talk about trying to keep increases manageable, but all my previous annual rate increases were in the $1-3 range. This one was over $20/month to $64/month. At the new rate I would’ve been paying over $700/year just for the privilege of having insurance. There’s no way that makes any sort of economic sense for a pet owner. This response, like all I’ve received from Healthy Paws, is woefully inadequate, not entirely truthful, and not terribly sympathetic.
