Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Healthy Paws has been so wonderful. I will admit that for years I paid the premiums and didn't really use the insurance that much, but as my boy got older (he is almost 12) he developed health issues. Not only was it super easy to submit claims to Healthy Paws but the turn around is very fast. Thank Goodness, because if not I would have had to make the types of decisions no pet owner wants to make. It has been worth very penny I paid in premiums over the years.

I noticed her on and off limping for a while, and eventually after seeing a few vets, learned she had a torn ACL. The surgery was estimated to cost $4,800, along with the costs of all of the pre-work and post therapy. Healthypaws was prompt at responding to each claim leading up to the surgery, which gave me confidence that the surgery bill was not going to be issue. My large claim was processed within 2 days of submitting, and I have since received personal follow up emails checking in on her recovery. The app made it incredibly easy to submit claims, as well-it took about 3 minutes. Through all of the stress of the surgery itself, it's been a huge relief to not have to worry about the potential debt the procedure could have put me in if it wasn't for Healthpaws. Our dog got really sick with pancreatitis during COVID-19 and we were a complete wreck. To top it off, we had lost most of our income. Murphy had to be in intensive care for almost a week, and we weren't sure how we were going to get through it financially. Fortunately, healthy paws was SO QUICK in responding and helping us out, and they processed our claim and we had reimbursement checks within a matter of a few days. I am so grateful we had healthy paws for this experience.

HORRIBLE. My dog has allergies. In Florida my rate was $38 / month. I moved to North Carolina and they doubled my rate YET A NEW CUSTOMER IN THE SAME CITY WOULD PAY $38. Although they pay claims fast, they are a scam .... funny but the 'new jacked up rate' is how much my meds cost for the dog. My advice DON'T USE.....unless you never plan to move from your home.
