Amazing - so so glad we went with Healthy Paws!

After paying medical bills for our cat because we didn’t have any insurance, one of the first things we did when we adopted our dog was to sign up for Healthy Paws after reading up on which was the best! We never thought we’d have to use it, but after 2 years of having our dog, he was diagnosed with a Mast Cell Tumor & required chemo. Thank goodness we had Healthy Paws. They made the process SO easy & it allowed us to get all of the treatment our vet & oncologist recommended without having to worry. The ease of reimbursement is amazing too. Exceeded my expectations. Our dog is now cancer free & healthy too!

I'll start by saying I've been a…

I'll start by saying I've been a customer since 2013 and have had 3 dogs insured with Healthy Paws. Prior to the current situation I would give them a five star, glowing review. They are responsive and process claims incredibly quickly. We have always opted for the 90% coverage and it has been great over the years. Fast forward a few years and our monthly premium began increasing quite significantly every year. I can understand increases here and there but the most recent increase, a 36% increase to my monthly premium DURING a pandemic is egregious. I have contacted Healthy Paws four times now to beg them to work with me in any capacity, they have refused. Due to the current worldwide pandemic, my husband and I went from a 2 income home, to zero income home, overnight. Not only did Healthy Paws not offer to waive even a single payment, they have just informed me that my monthly premium increase of 36% effective 4/1/2020 is still in effect. We now have to make a decision to put food on our table or let our pet insurance lapse on our 2 dogs. I'm so utterly disappointed in how they have handled this.

Amazing & Extremely Helpful!

Our boxer was diagnosed with a brain tumor (glioma) last year. It’s been rocky with multiple MRIs, hospitalizations for cluster seizures. With all the imaging/labs, vets visits, meds we are extremely grateful for Healthy Paws, they have made this terrible situation easier, no hassle in claims & have helped soo much with cost! Most importantly our pupp is doing great!

Astronomical Rate Increases Spoken Here.

Good for the first few years but beyond this astronomical rate increases. Don't let the name fool you, this is a money making business designed to maximize profits. Call center is based in low cost regions i.e. Philippians. Could not make changes to my policy through their website. Tried two different browsers. Call center rep tried to convince me to speak to an account representative aka as retention specialist before cancelling. Shameful business practices!
