Fetch Canada | Pet Insurance Review

I got Fetch for my dog Gary and initially I was happy I did as he struggled with ear infections But the claim process requires too much information- your vet's medical notes - and is painfully slow Then after an eye infection we discovered Gary had allergies and it cost me $425 to find that out ! Fetch denied the claim. Said it was a pre-existing condition. If it was I didn't know. I love my dog so my concern was an eye infection At $300 a year and $30 per month ? And to deny an 80% of $425 claim after a month and a half ?? Cancel it And then they blackmail you with "now that this condition is known other pet insurance companies will penalize you " is amateurish Read their response to bad reviews and policy cancellations : do not give a damn I think all the positive reviews are planted : not real Paul Even their reply is lame

THE GOOD: Fetch is great IF your dog/cat is occasionally sick or injured. It takes the guesswork out of whether or not you should take your pet to the vet. The claims process is straight forward and reimbursement is relatively easy. THE BAD: If your dog is chronically ill, like mine is, Fetch will increase your premium and deductible year over year, and decrease your reimbursement. Fetch will also do everything in their power to find ways not to reimburse you for legitimate claims. Such as requesting all vet records for the life of your dog and scrutinizing every single note written by your vet. When your pet gets sick and starts costing THEM money, they will do everything they can to push you away as a client. At this point, our annual insurance costs are nearing $2000 with only a 60% reimbursement. It's not even worth having Fetch anymore.

Quick and easy. all claims were paid in a timely fashion.

My daughter has their insurance and filed a claim for a simple dog injury that required gluing and meds. They have asked for an incredible amount of documentation and months later still have not paid a $300 claim. Big scam!!!! Don’t purchase this insurance.
