This was the best decision we could have made!
This was the best decision we could have made! Lucky, our 14 year-old Sheltie/Australian Shepherd was in a lot of pain and discomfort. We had been providing him with Librela injections and fusion therapy but these were no longer providing long-term benefits. In addition, he was losing weight and his situation was deteriorating quickly.
Our vet of 13 years could not fit us in for several days and we simply did not want to wait any longer.
Dr. Dawn Goodman arrived early the next morning and could not have been more loving and caring for both Lucky and for us. We were able to have Lucky at home with us, in his own bed as we loved him and spoke to him until he was asleep with the Lord.
Dr. Dawn has continued to email us, checking to see how we were doing and asking if there was anything she could do to assist in this time of grief.
Our animals are loving members of our family, as well they should be, and saying goodbye to them is a traumatic experience. Dr Dawn and Lap of Love were beyond amazing in helping us through this difficult time for us and our beloved Lucky. This was such a blessing.
