BAD BAD INSURANCE COMPANY

BAD BAD INSURANCE COMPANY. DON'T USE THEM THEY LIE AND HOLD CLAIMS HOSTAGE. AFTER YOU PAY THEM FOR A WHILE THEY SEND YOU A LONG LIST OF WHAT THEY WON'T COVER FOR A YEAR WHICH IS BS. I'VE REPORTED THEM TO THEIR STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE.

Lack of coverage

Embrace won't fully cover any of my claims. Because my dog is 10 years old, they've declared virtually every issue he's ever had as a pre-existing condition (vomiting)-or, they've found some other justification. This year, I've submitted claims for over $2,300 and received $172 from Embrace. I would not recommend this company.

Recent experience good, annual increase in premiums high

Recent experience is good. Claims are settled quickly and fairly relative to the agreement. Experience at the beginning of each year of coverage however was shocking to ne . The cost went up almost double what the cost was the year before. When I inquired about that I was told that well the pet insured was a year older and it had nothing to do with claims, but to me the increase was shocking. My fault; should have done my due diligence and learned what happens each year. Probably the same for all pet insurance. It almost seems as if the increase in cost will be so much I can no longer afford it at all so that as the animal is older and one would normally expect an increase in veterinarian visits that I would just have to cancel the insurance. Also when I first got the insurance, osteoarthritis was excluded because a couple years prior there was a slight mention that I should use cosequin daily. Naively, I did not object to that. To my knowledge there was not ever a diagnosis that the pet had osteoarthritis issues. No one ever told me that. I feel like I'm caught now though because if I were to switch insurance everything would be pre-insurance and would be excluded.

I have both a cat and dog insured and without insurance, I would really be hurting financially

I have both a cat and dog insured and Embrace has been quick to followup with coverage.

Continuously raising my rates for no…

Continuously raising my rates for no reason. No claims in 9 years and now at $123.00 a month for a single dog. Not even a shot plan or anything just emergency coverage essentially. Representative blamed it on inflation. Definitely looking to change. Pathetic.

Monthly Cost

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
