Very good insurance but slow on paperwork

After several claims from stitches, and skin problems, to wellness claims for shots and spaying, Embrace seems to very good at covering everything I feel that they should cover. The only reason I would not give them a 10 out of 10 is the amount of time it takes between mailing the claim and receiving a check. On average it seems to take 4 to 6 weeks.

Embrace is Outstanding!

Never a question. Prompt payment and they care. Laura Bennett , the President, called me when I asked a question about payment and then personally handled getting me reimbursement. I wish my health insurer was as good.

Good honest coverage but slow reimbursements

Embrace gives great coverage for a great price, and customer service is wonderful. They have been very slow on processing claims which has been somewhat frustrating. They apparently got new software back in the Spring but delays are still happening. Other than that, no complaints!

Coverage I was hoping for

I have no complaints other than the time it takes to get the claim reviewed, but i think that is to be expected in the any kind of claims review.

I love getting reimbursed!

At the outset, I was a little wary about having to basically invest $1k/year on my dog in deductible and insurance cost. However, I'm really glad I did! Embrace has paid all the claims I've filed over the deductible amount. The only complaint I have is that this takes a few weeks. I do love that it comes straight into my bank account, though!

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
